As far as I can tell from available clips, it’s a really good sounding amp, but it doesn’t sound like a C+.
I don’t hear any of the sweet chewiness and complexity in the gain of the OG, and without that Ima go ahead and say that the feel won’t even be close.
I agree 100%! Been playing my OG IIC+ all day, and that’s my conclusion as well, for whatever that’s worth lol!

Seems on high gain it’s a squealing hog.

I asked the other Guy here if he has the same issue:

Well, that’s interesting. He WAS able to replicate the “squeal” with the same settings.

Definitely doesn’t happen with the OG IIC+… just tried it with a MK III, and it doesn’t happen either.

Agreed

Got mine in today. Honestly sounds great. Never had a IIc+ but did have a mark III red strip that had the ++ mod. This seems bigger sounding and punchier but hard to tell since I don’t have them at the same time. Also I can duplicate the squeal that’s in that video. This is a design issue, interesting enough there several comments in the video from people who own/owned a mark IIc+ that has had this happen. Seems odd that some amps where impacted and some where not in the past.

I've definitely had squealing like that with multiple Marks. There's settings that don't work beyond a certain volume level, especially if you're that close to the amp and/or running high output pickups.

So they failed at making a reissue. OG no issue in high gain.
None of my MKIII’s do that.
So it seems the high gain settings which is what the C+ is all about is DOA on the squeaker
Since release not a single killer vid with that amazing C+ tone. Utterly amazing 😎

I just got mine 3 hours ago. Is that the Texas vs Georgia game is over I’m plugging it in for the first time. I used my mark IV settings off the jump and here’s the outta the box results. I put an OD pedal in at parts of the video but you can clearly see me turning it on and off.

Finally one that actually sounds rippin. Husky is not feeling it though

Is it a bad video? I can redo it, but this was my legit straight out the box plug and play thru
Nah, I think what he's saying is one post saying "all vids suck" and then the next post is yours, that sounds great. Exactly what I'd expect from a half back.

I think all the produced vids have sucked. I also think that a bunch of the phone vids have been spot on, and just want I wanted to hear for a room tone. I've done enough of both kind to feel pretty strongly that a well placed phone in the room can tell you more about what an amp actually sounds like in person than any close mic recording, which is by nature just a different thing (and yes better for the mix).
