It’s a Mark2C+ that identifies as a Mark 5So the verdict on the new amp?

psh....at least UK has Marshall's in stock. Marshall US went from March to June to October to December and now February '25. Nothing to worry about kids. Marshall is making that big come back next month at NAMM!1690.-€ sounds good.

I hate combos!Jesus.
Whoever decided that Mark amps should still be sold, much less demo'd, in 1x12 open back combo format should be escorted straight to the nearest nursing home.
Oh, good. You brought enough to share with the class!I hate combos!View attachment 368924
I definitely won't be buying a new one at that price point, I don't know if they're likely to be cheap enough used that I'd consider it.Honest question for the fanbois;
Does the price not bother you at least a little bit? Are you just numb to the 5-10k price tags of the OGs that this looks like a bargain to you to spend on? I see Mesa’s other brand new offerings for equal or less prices with WAY more features and versatility that lend themselves much more value.
Gibson is smarter than you think. You lost this round.
I’m not hating on the amp at all and I really do hope everyone who ordered one is beyond happy with their purchase. I really do. It’s just for that price you can get so much more value from another amp, like the new Bogner Snorkler for instance, same dual mode shared EQ thing but only $2879.
These two are okay at best. Easier to watch than Glen. I don't think very many people play heavy guitar anymore. I quit decades ago. I don't know anyone that still plays that stuff. There must be other people that could do a video for this amp ?The Riffs Beards and Gear guy does chug demos. Leon Todd does a lot of palm muting heavy playing too but mixes in a lot of chords and lead stuff also.
Now's your chance to fix that!I wasn’t accepted, so rule doesn’t apply to me
No, you hate healthy caps!I hate combos!View attachment 368924
A bit steep. More than annual wage here. More than 3 of those wages to be precise. Now's your chance to fix that!

Speaking of, i wonder if there's something wrong with the iic+ in that video, honestly
Even at ridiculous settings I've never heard one sound that boxy and "small" before
I have Coliseums and I don't want to be in his club either!A bit steep. More than annual wage here. More than 3 of those wages to be precise.
Plus worked on by belgian shop instead of Mike B himself.
And then again, if I am not wanted without it, I wouldn’t bother coming back when I get it
Honestly, I think hanging out in places like this recalibrates a person’s expectations of what a great high gain guitar tone can be.
How many truly incredible heavy guitar tones do you hear outside of records cut in pro studios with producers known primarily for good metal guitar tone, a very small handful of youtubers, and people on forums like this specifically dedicated to it? And hell the Venn diagram for those last two groups is practically a circle. it’s an incredibly niche skillset and it’s very easy to fuck up.
I think the simple truth is that the people recording those videos just have no idea what the fuck they’re doing. The one or two attempts at big huge sound from these demos so far I’ve been from people who just think “middle slider all the way down = heavy” and that’s it. It’s like they don’t even listen to their own recordings.
I don’t think there was anything wrong with the gear in these demos, I just think the people recording them haven’t made a good part of what they do specifically about recording good heavy tones, and as a consequence they all made the amp sound like shit.
I mean, yeah, .....but who the fuck do they think is shelling out the money for these amps?
Producers. YouTubers. People on forums like this dedicated to it.
