MESA/Boogie® Mark IIC+ full demo & overview ft. Doug West & Tommy Waugh

The dude who compared the reissue to the original played a few Petrucci riffs, but he also didn't really know how to dial the amp, was afraid of extreme settings, etc. so it was kind of a wash.
I had not hold that far while watching the video so I got back and noticed he playing a 7 strings at around 42:20. I had to grab my 7 strings too and see if it would sound on my MarkV:25 on the IIC+ channel. I have a blank but what JP's riff di he play?

At 2:20 in first vid. Really glad for 3600 plus tax that I don’t need to worry about those pesky flying leads. Need to replace a pot, switch, jack etc. Don’t you worry about desoldering a couple of wires when you can pull the whole board and hopefully don’t cook the pads when you remove and re-attach connections.

I was disappointed to see that too, but i guess the implication is that it would cost even more with extra labor for flying leads.

Thats the only track on Justice that wasn't the IIC++. Was the Quad or Studio pre into Strategy 400. Can't remember which one...thinking Quad
This is not a studio record I reckon, but a tryout in Lars’ garage. Plus that is the only raw record stuff of Justice era I stumbled upon.

Anyway, aounds convincing, doesn’t it?

Oh man you’re right! I just saw shortest straw. Didn’t see the demo part. My bad.

You know what, I liked it that way. Once the YouTubers out there will get their hands on their own copy, we are going to be flooded with zillions of videos with the same chugging riffs in drop Z and with weird faces on their vignette.

At least Mesa showed the amp could be pretty versatile and cover a lot of types of sound.

They're just foaming at the mouth around here for a FLUFF razor tight crushing tones video. Or of course the same old OLA with the same tired post EQ since day 1 using it with a fart pedal, or even better Glenn Fricker so he can tell everyone how retarded they are for not playing whatever was sent to him for free by an amp company.

And as usual, they will conclude it sounds bad under someone else's fingers and pray to God they can still rape someone with their cork sniffing iic+ pricing for an old raggedy amplifier.

Hahaha...

Hahahahahahahahaaha...

I truly think it's because these companies are run by people who want to be cool rockstars but are ultimately corporate suits who have become disconnected with what musicians actually want... but they still think they're equipped to make these decisions because hey, some of them still have long hair and tattoos, so they have to still be cool and know what the kids these days want, right? And then they surround themselves with yes men so they never actually learn how out of touch they are.
Makes ya wonder..

🤷‍♂️ glad your back. I miss the “polish accent” vibe

😂😂😂😂😂😂 god….you people kill me with this thing….

Anyways, I guess im in the minority, but seeing what Gibson is putting out these days, they are on fire. Go to the Gibson factory in Nashville, I think many of you would change your mind. Gibson is on fire right now I truly believe that. How that translates to them owning boogie, only time will tell, but as far as their guitars, personally I’ve never played better than what they are putting out these days.

I rolled the dice on a new Gibson '61 SG Standard, white, sight unseen, in the factor sealed box. The fit and finish was very good, not perfect, just minor; the setup and intonation was perfect out of the box; the frets and fret ends were good...zero complaints on build and QC. I did this knowing I could return the guitar if there were any major issues.

Shortly after, I also got the Epi '63 SG Custom, white, and it's every bit as good fit, finish, intonation, setup, etc.

I'd say Gibson is improved, but they have a decade + of erratic QC experiences that will take time to overcome. If they keep working on it, they may just be able to make those problems history.
