My first Mesa was a IIB. I bought a IIC+, III Red and IVa. All bought new when they came out.

Played on several IIC+. None of them sounded the same. Each individual amp sounded slightly different.
Not all of them sounded great.
I would expect the reissues to sound like some of the better ones.

This happens every time. Shitty initial demos, upset guitar nerds, normal people get the amps and make clips, “it’s actually pretty awesome”. No need to get all worked up
