Testing went perfectly. All voltages read within range, Installed all the tubes, biased it and it is alive!

NICE, good job, much better than the rats nest I started with when I tried my first one....

It's aliiiiivvvee

 Next time I do a build I need to be more careful with the front/back panels. I'm taking a look at it now and I scratched it up pretty badly. The worse part was trying to get the power cable installed with the strain relief. Was such a pain in the ass to do, I think I might just drill a square into that area and add a detachable IEC instead.

Any reason why bus wire was used on the third leg of the pots rather than bending the leg back and soldering to the pot itself?

No clue, thats how it was presented on the instructions. I'm assuming thats probably what was done in the original jtm's? Either way works I guess, but so far the amp is pretty quiet. I think the kits are probably trying to replicate the older ones, probably the reason why the power cord uses a strain relief as well, I hate those things!

But I might change the grounding in the future when I add my FX loop, may possibly change it to the star grounding scheme.

You'll learn to do that as one of the first steps on your next one, and there will be another cause it's addicting. The cord hanging out of the back of the amp is nothin' but a PITA. Looks great though, how's it sound?

I find myself massively gassing for a JTM45 kit for blues and blues-rock.

sweet soldering job. i can't see any scratches from your photos.

Ok, I'm bumping an old thread.

But how are you liking the JTM 45 clone? How's it sound?

I've been looking at this kit and I'm trying to talk myself into it.
