They’re just a tuned SLO with more features. You’d go farther with a boosted SLO.
The Mezzabarbas have a more aggressive voicing (sharper mids, like a Marshall). Boosted they can go toe to toe with any amp for any type of metal.

Had a Trinity and ch 2 was un useable and a bummer because 1 has a great clean and 3 is great for solos. All words without clips, here ya go

The skill

and back to the trinity, this is the live tone i used

Well, he seems to refuse to post anything new here since...I don't know, early January? 🤔🙃

Luckily he has that FB safe space forum with Henning and the others, where they can circle jerk and gush over each other and complain to the outside world about death threats... Not from me. I was just asking a valid question...🤷

Maybe getting called out on YT shilling here kinda hurts more than he cared to admit in public, so who's rent free now? 😎👋
The Henning Amplification jackass? What FB group is that?

How would you go farther with an SLO if the Mezz has more features?
Let’s just say component choices inside them don’t make a lot of sense to me, and to compensate for the component choices, that coupling capacitor sizes are changed from typical SLO values to keep things tight and aggressive.

A SLO with a boost will have a bigger bottom end and not as much Johnson noise at the cost of less gig friendly features.

No, the German YouTuber...you know, the bald, nerdy guy with the 90s unicorn sweaters, who started believing a liiiiiiitle too much in his own quirky sense of humour and turned it into a schtick.
?

I have a new slo 100 also. I'll try to get a proper clip together and do a mini Comparison.

I think that would be awesome and really informative to get a compare and contrast between them!

I think they cover a lot of the same territory and it would be helpful to note the difference and similarities

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all but that's cool.

and the way she looks, she probably thought "Well, he looked like this when he asked me..."

I mean, it's great playing but i still can't tell what the amp sounds like very well 😬 I do not think that's a great demo.

The gain structure of the amp sounds pretty decent (rivera knucklehead or MT maybe??) but it's still really hard to tell.

The speaker or IR he's using sounds like garbage mud with a blanket over it to me. That's my subjective personal opinion of course, I don't want pipboy to come in and inform us that "well like, everything's subjective bro." Yeah, no shit.

Killer player and performance, though. The tones are just really not impressive to me in that, like at all.

Which is disappointing, because i've played a skill, trinity, and mzero overdrive, and I thought they were all very good for a SLO-ish tone
Yep. Stack that one on the pile of “not a demo yet that makes me wanna own that amp”.

That said, I’d still like to check one out in person. Not the 200 watt though.
