B or lower clips almost always blend together as "I am using this crutch to make my riffs sound heavier" unless they're doing a swedish chainsaw sound or something much more outside the box IMO (ala at the gates, carcass, etc)

I mean, it's great playing but i still can't tell what the amp sounds like very well 😬 I do not think that's a great demo.

The gain structure of the amp sounds pretty decent (rivera knucklehead or MT maybe??) but it's still really hard to tell.

The speaker or IR he's using sounds like garbage mud with a blanket over it to me. That's my subjective personal opinion of course, I don't want pipboy to come in and inform us that "well like, everything's subjective bro." Yeah, no shit.

Killer player and performance, though. The tones are just really not impressive to me in that, like at all.


Which is disappointing, because i've played a skill, trinity, and mzero overdrive, and I thought they were all very good for a SLO-ish tone

I didn't catch what he is using for the speaker or IR, did you??

It seriously sounds like there's a wet blanket over it to me - no sizzle at all.

And for a high gain amp that is really really weird. Normally half of the battle is lopassing that shit out at the right frequency

Just checked: Cab: ‪ Captor X
No wonder. But even with a Cab, the bloomy,wolly (in a bad way, or at least not good for metal) gain structure will still be there.

It's so weird, I think wall of sound is great sounding and super usable, although I hate their pay model

But every hardware product I've ever used of theirs has sounded like complete and utter dogshit. And i'm not exactly a noob with this, so I'm not sure it's user error. I've gotten great tones with a million different products - Mics, IRs, attenuators, etc.

@VESmedic is going to pop up like snoop dogg in half baked to be like "I TOLD YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!"

This will have an eq more similar to a marshall - just be prepared it still does not have the same growl as a marshall…it’s a smoother, creamier gain structure than marshall…with a lot more low end/low mids available

This sounds fine . My problem is all these amps sort of go for this one sound and Everone goes for the same tone . Is it the amps ? Or the players ? I’d say the player but I guess that what people do

I don't love the Trinity for metal. For all other styles it is amazing.
