Yes I was meaning the Beta 57a.I hate it. I got one thinking "ah, it's gonna be like a SM57, but better". It's not. It's has tons of output, but it has like no low-end compared to the SM.
Oh, wait, do you mean the original Beta 57? I have the Beta 57A.
I haven't tried one but when I was shopping stage-vocal mics it was stated in reviews that it is a brighter, more cutting mic than something smoother like a Beta 58 which I been using for about a dozen years now.I hate it. I wouldn't say brighter than SM57 either. Mine isn't.
