No,the GTE34Ls along side a pair of Svets6550.aAnd with the 2 212s with G12T75s and Elite 80s just a massive tone and no thermal nuclear meltdown :D[/quote]

Told you those GT E34Ls smoke. It's my favorite 34 type tube. Been using them for about (3) years and none of them have BLOWN UP!

I have had no troubles either for about the same amount of time. I really like the GT e34Ls in the Egnater amps. In the Mod 50, they just rule. I have an extra set ready to go into what ever power amp I end up with.

That's cool man! If you get the RT2/50 you'll have to try the E34L / 6550 deal that Jason does. I'd be interested in your opinion of it. Try it in your Mod100 and let me know your thoughts. :)

i went from EH el34s to GT EL34ls in my TOL 100 and i really thought the GTs darkened the overall vibe to a place that was too muted, kinda like what jjs do to the preamp, but the EH's although zestier and moer aggresive and responsive started to melt down and had to go. rubys are good and kinda in between.

i just had a thought...egnater graphic eq ala boogie/vht to correct some of the tube mucous!!

Gee, THANKS A LOT! Now, I'll be ordering those GT E34Ls next along with some damn Svet 6550s. Man, love this amp.

Eric, what is the big difference you like with the GT over the TS? Where did you buy? Are there places to avoid guys when buying?

A friend of mine has E34Ls mixed with JJ KT88s in his RM100 and says the tone is the best he has heard. I am hoping when I get an RM100, I can try the 6550/E34L combo. :yes:
 
I just put the JJ KT77's (inside) and JJ E34L's (outside) in the RM100 and it sounded great. A little tighter than my mod50. I have GT 6L6's in the Mod50. I cant wait for the dual mod on the RM. :rock:

Yeah...I "should"...but that'll mean spending another $1200 right now. I'm on a gear spending "freeze" atm. I'll get one someday. I need to purge all of what I have before I go off spending a ton more, cause getting one will be a big investment ;)

I got them from Musicians Friend, with some other assorted strings and things I got.

I like the feel...and the punchiness....has a better different midrange grind than the TS. I really like the TS..but the GTE34L's are more "me".

Well I have an RT/250 coming and the RM100 is leaving. I will be putting the GTs in the RT. Probably will leave the 6L6s in the other channel to start, but will try 6550s and TS5881s as well. I'm actually pretty stoked to be building a rack rig again. With the M4/RT250 rig, the Mod 50 and soon to be dual channel Mod 100, I should have all my bases covered and then some.
 
On a side note,the 6L6s sounded great with the E34Ls but the 6L6s didn't with the 6550s to me at least but those combos when played together are like heaven to me :thumbsup:
