Does anyone know if the 2nd Degree Black Belt comes with a 4-wire option?...the website doesn't mention anything about that model.
It does.

Cool. Do you know if it splits well?
Yep,I have them in a Suhr S2 split.

Thanks, good to know. I can't wait to switch the Duncan Distortions out of my Edwards LP Custom - they're just too colored and hot for my tastes.
The 2nd Degrees sound great in an LP!I put these in a VOS LP before they went in the Suhr and man I almost didn't take them out

What would you recommend for the neck PU of my Edwards LP Custom to go with the 2nd Degree BB in the bridge?
The 2nd Degree neck.

How would the Afwayu bridge go with a Aldrich neck pup?
Probably pretty good. Ive read many reviews that all say the Afwayu and Aldrich have simular qualities.

Well folks I got my Afwayu today and slapped it in my Charvel and all I can say is wow! It definitely does sound bigger, more open and less compressed than the Aldrich. It cleans up nicely and does volume swells way better. You can get killer pinch harmonics and it goes into a beautiful sweet feedback when holding notes or chords.I played that guitar all night with my band at rehearsal and I had a big grin the whole time.Kudos to Wade,I have a new favorite pickup.

I played the Afwayu's in my LP some more last weekend before hitting the road again this week. FWIW I am very anal with my tone (along with many others here!) and I am not convinced with the rhythm tone in my LP Classic. I had a Rio BBQ in there for years and I need to resolder it back in to hear it again. The Rio just sounds huge in there, but does sound slightly boxy in the mids to me although it has a ton of mids which I like. The low end is a tad flubby for aggressive metal, but fine for everything else. The Afwayu's are clearer, tighter on lows, but in this particular guitar the mids aren't lighting my fire. Again it just maybe my axe, I don't know. Also I like the feel from the BBQ a bit better on volume rolloff than the Afwayu - BBQ seems to give more variety when rolling off. I need to go back and retry the BBQ now again to be sure. If I had 2 LP's and wanted a studio one for leads I'd be done with the Afwayu! It just seems my Cameron Marshall is super sensitive to PUP's. I've had PUP's that sounded killer with other amps that sounded like total turd with this amp for some reason! But the amp is so sick it's worth it to find the "right" PUP.

I just ordered a Hell Baby set for a PRS standard and an Afwayu for one of my ESP Horizons. I'm going to upgrade the posts/caps with the RS kits. Looking forward to seeing how they sound. :D

You may actually like the Angel Dust better, it has more of a mid-spike than the Afwayu and sounds massive.

How does the Nuke stack up against a BK Warpig? Ive been gassing for the Warpig set for a while now but I do like to buy American when possible. Has anyone heard the nuke?

Not sure about the Nuke but I have a Warpig in one of my LPC's and it sounds awesome. Check out the clip I made with the Warpig here:

I also have a MCP Solution and it sounds awesome as well. A bit crunchier and a little more compressed.

Interesting...the volume roll off is one of the things I hate about the Aldrich. Up full it sounds great, roll it off a little and is sounds like a blanket was thrown over the amp. Good thing I never really play with the volume rolled down.
The Afwayu stays clear through the roll off without muddying up.It's pretty awesome.I say go for it bro,I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I got the Blisster put in my Dean and I really like it. I'm thinking I like it a bit more than the Afwayu.

Hey just a comment, you guys really should hear how great all of wades neck pickups are they are truly special. Also his pick ups do not get dark when rolled off on the vol. You do not need any caps on the vol. to retain brightness and because of that you then get the true tapper of the vol. pot. Rock on.

Better to call the guy than email him? It's been about a month since I filled out a question form on the site.

I called and left a voice-mail. He called me back shortly thereafter. I then ordered my pick-ups through the site. He said they'd ship the next day. That was 2 days ago - so I'm still waiting for the pick-ups. Can't wait.

I think I need to call Wade too. I have too many questions... ;)

I know, it's almost as if you are buying a house or something. Just buy one and try it out already ;)

I am lazy...I dont feel like swapping p-ups... ;)

A lazy conservative? That's a first. :D

Dude,I have had a few rehearsals with the Afwayu now so I can answer anything you might have to ask about it.

I can agree with this 100% in my LP. I swapped out a JB for an Aldrich. Aldrich is a cool pup definitely tighter then the JB. But when I roll own for cleans it is just like having the tone knob rolled off.

Luxx what about Bareknuckles in comparison to the Motor City pups in general.

also I like high output neck pick ups any suggestions? for instance I have an EMG 85 and love that fat singing, tone.

I just installed a Motor City Hell Baby set in my PRS Standard 22 and an Afwayu in my ESP Horizon. Awesome pick-ups. I'm gonna get a Solution for my other Horizon and maybe another Afwayu for my other PRS.

I love the character of the hellbaby... are you finding it to be pretty much as I described?
