Sean, it's not about the playing. I was refering to James ripping it up - it was not a stab at you at all.

What me and many others don't seem to get is that you spend huge amounts on your gear, lots more than anyone I have ever seen, and you ask real basic questions about all kinds of stuff AFTER you buy that particular piece of gear - that's puzzling to me.

About my playing: We had that discussion before, and you know very well about how long I've been playing (4 years with about 1-2 hours per week on average - you do the math) and the time-constraints I work with as a single father of a 7-year old boy, with a 10+ hour a day full-time job. I play not to be the next Petrucci, but because I like to get my aggressions out that way and because I really dig it when things fall into place on a particular song. I buy the gear I buy because I can - just like you - and it motivates me to learn more.

Not sure which vids you posted as I can't see them at work, but some of them are way over a year old. I keep them up there for fun and to check them once in a while for reference.

Again, I wasn't taking a stab at you. I was just agreeing with quite a few people here that I don't understand the way you tick in respect to your gear vs. your knowledge and in the way you constantly go out of your way in saying that you are a fanboy with a smirk on your face as if you want to say that you actually aren't. Peace.

It is all good. I am just busting balls. I always have a smirk on :D So yes I am a proud fanboy, and I just say it because I know it is coming anyhoo. ;)
