3 k for just the mod?
No. Around 11-1200 for the Amp + at least 1800 for the "basic" mod which includes tight and punch, but nothing else. But i guess i wouldn't want anything else. Not a fan of too many switches. You had yours all off anyway, didn't you? Plus shipping. So, at least 3k.

$1100 for a 2203 reissue??
Where

Right after i got i sorted out with Eddy i was first looking for a Donor Amp, didn't find one immediately and then i almost wrote him. I already had the FB-Messenger open... 😅 We're looking at 3 Grand at least in this case. Was about to ask him if he happens to have an already modded Amp lying around :D
He can get you a donar amp .

Lets see some guts -

The dollar is strong against the euro now. Time to buy European items if you want them.

Even better for Yen at the moment! I’ve been sorting reverb by sellers located in Japan like crazy!

The way they bought all the stuff up in the 80s because of what happened then…it’s starting to be reverse time lololol

For what it’s worth, reissues don’t sound as good when modded- there’s something about the originals that transfers to the modded ones
That's normal. The Amp keeps it's core signature.

2k, I wanted an old one.

Like @Yehuda was saying, some of the reissues don’t come out as good.
I had 2 of my 2203KKs modded exactly the same. Each kept it's core sound. That's mormal.
My 2203x sounded almost identical to my 2203 from 1983.
Apart from the Mod and the sacrilege of butchering old classcis. :D : Did he also put new capacitors in yours?
