I tried EL34's in it today and like it even more. Maybe not quite as much of a game changer as it was in the early Rev Recto's I've had or even the Hermansson Recto's, but a nice improvement. The growl on powerchords is more angry now and it's a little tighter. The stock 5881's sounded a little more open and clear in some ways with more extended highs, but overall I like EL34's more in it. I've gone back and forth with them a few times
I have a 79 JMP100 w/Octane Mod.
I saved a perfectly matched quad of SED 34’s when the stock JJ’s burn up.
I have been shouting Lenz Amps from Marshall stacks as once day1 of playing/hearing my Hot Chili which is like THE perfect familiar Marshall place we all grew up hearing and love.
Just a perfect 70’s Marshall flavor of the vibe with a solid effects loop WITH F’N Send & Return adjusters.
All the push pulls are so incredibly useful.
There feel is “juicy tight”
Extremely great songwriter amps.
Just start playing and you find out immediately by gettin’ lost in creativity.
The Ictane Mod is THE sound of AIC Facelift AND Dirt, with no fussing..
You want RTL??, the Sad But True monster mutes?
You can literally do all that with your experience and hands..before dialing it in to nail those tones.
Best f’n lead sound ever too man.
I’ve had the Bot. Hili & Octane for over a year now.
-I’ll sell my bits before I sell the Lenz’s.
I also have a Evil Twin Reverb
(early 70’s TR head, with the monstrous transformer ) that Eddy rebuilt &
hooked up so large that’s ready for shipping.
Dude that thing.. is RAD.
Congrats on that dime piece of all dime pieces homie!.
