Yes. At least 10 years ago I swore I would never pop big for a brand new amp again. At that time around 3k was pretty much the standard big price for a new amp. Then I stopped buying amps altogether around 3 years ago because nothing was gonna be better than the top five in my collection. But I've always wanted a Wizard, and these new models are just brutal. I could pop big for one, but I've had everything paid off for a couple of years now. No debt, great credit rating and big savings has been very psychologically satisfying. But that means I am not contributing to what I believe is the core mission of this forum. I feel like I am failing rigtalk. Monkeyman and jackbootedthug are threatening to ban me.
You owe it to yourself, to MM and JBT, to Rigtalk…Do it man, do it…

Modern pricing sucks, and I won’t get stuff brand new but…… “Deals” are out there to be had man, be patient, and They will come. Between a mark iic++, mtl, and an mc I’m under 10k. Probably dumb luck but it happens.

I owe it to Mailman. I ought to sell off 4 or 5 of the amps at the bottom of the pile/list to get the money, but selling gear just isn't my thing. Too much of a chore/risk to ship. The last two amps I sold/shipped got broken in shipping and just can't get fixed. Both are DAR heads, a Forza and a Tuzzia prototype. After that debacle, I gave up. That was years ago. Broke my heart. A best bro says I should just plunk the bux down to get in line for the wizard I want because he knows once it was ready I would just cough up the rest and start replacing the savings account. He is the WORST enabler in my world.

I beat myself up constantly about buying amps instead of putting that money into retirement or savings. My wife encourages me to buy and keep what I want and to stop feeling guilty about it & just enjoy. I frequently talk myself out of buying a particular amp and she'll chime in and say "you want it, so just buy it". She actually suggested I consider buying a few more Wizards to hang on to for future investment assuming the prices may jump once Rick retires. She told me to buy a bunch, play the shit out of them for 5-10 years, then sell them for a profit. I feel incredibly fortunate to have my wife as my best friend & enabler...most amazing person on the planet & one in a million.

He sounds like a good friend and very wise.
Unless you’re gonna order a new Hell Razor, just score a used MTL or MCII and save big $$$!

I think he can have his own circuit to test lambo if he wants lol
It will send tight punchy forceful amount of lowend thru the exhaust that shakes this entire earth.... religious high priest knows his or her believes and starts mass preaching.... but only the Wizard believers knows whats going on... lol

Poison for the lost? Killer player. I think it sounds an ounce better than the 5150 lol. Not that it’s a bad amp by any means.
IMO it sounds MUCH better than the tracks that came with the link I downloaded :)
The clarity and definition is superb
