New RUSH Record Is A Masterpiece!!

I have heard all the new songs on youtube this morning, but they were out of order. I got the cd and will listen straight through after work.

There are some really good tunes on it, some of their best in years.

I'm still of the opinion that they would do better to cut things back even further. Eliminate the layered backing vocals and reduce some of the guitar layers. They play so well I think the stripped down approach would work better. :rock:
 
I love Rush from pretty much every era. They do have some stinkers, but every album has a few gems IMO.
 
Picked-up the new CD yesterday. Only listened to it once through so far though. Highlights for me thus far are Halo Effect, The Wreckers, and The Garden. None of which are rockers. Will definitely take some more listens for me to develope a confident opinion overall.
 
The more I listen and really get what's going on........ this one for me is one of the best they've done in a long time. Definitely my favorite of their new era.
 
Been through a couple full listens since getting the disc. I like it more with each listen. Its increasingly rare these days to get an album that is good to listen straight through without skipping. They delivered.
 
I have only listened to the entire CD once, but I am really liking it. Much better than Snakes and Arrows. My co-worker checked it out too and liked it and he has vastly different musical tastes than I do (he is a big Dubstep fan).
