New Wolfie VH video

Dude is talented and hope he does well. Cut his teeth with Tremonti and Alter Bridge, so he does sound more generic “modern rock.”

May not buy the album, I need to hear more first.

I hope he finds another hobby than responding to haters on Twitter. He’s too good pedigree for that.
 
Sounds killer. One of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. I’ve known this camp for years ( alter bridge, tremonti, baskette etc) and they are great people putting out great records. One of my good friends produced and mixed this, glad to see wolfie out doing his own thing.

I don't think it is possible for anyone now to become any sort of leader or not to sound generic. With everything produced the same way and aligned to the grid, there is no more room for individuality and it all ends up sounding the same. I find his song writing is good but it is def. very "safe" as well and sounds a lot like a lot of the other stuff that is out there. Those big melodic choruses, the same chord progressions etc.. there are only so many notes you can hit true, but it sounds good for a reason and that reason is we have heard most of it before.

Still though, a definite talent for this instruments, voice, and even lyric writing. Hard to argue that fact. Good for him for branching out and finding a sound and style that suits his personality and tastes. But the industry and gloss that has been put on recordings has ruined the little individuality that is left. You still find that in indy recordings or bands that don't have a budget. More raw because less has been done to it. But most of the time the song writing sucks lol.

That's a good point. He isn't going to suddenly start writing cock rock from the 80's. Doesn't fit his style, influences or personality.
 
Also for anyone wondering, the 5150 in that video and in the pics is a completely new design/line designed by James brown, not a revamp of the 5150 series, this is straight from EVH/fender.

That's cool. I was guessing it was going to be something in the vein of the original 5150/5150ii with an extra channel and/or features, but I guess not. Any word on a release date?
 
Good song (but not a monster hit), I like it. He sounds credible on all instruments, and has a great voice! Am I the only one who gets a Nickleback feel from it?
