OT:Pit Bull attack

I'm glad your dog and family are OK. Almost the same exact thing happened to our poodle a few years ago. He too needed surgery and survived. My mother-in-law was walking him and a Rott jumped through the screen door of the house he was in and attacked. My dog managed to get away and escape into a garage that the Rott couldn't get into. But that was after he suffered some deep punctures. The Rott's owner said his wife was in the hospital having a baby so with the house empty, he let the Rott up into the living space instead of being locked up in the basement. The incident cost him about $3000 in vet bills.

I love dogs. Always have. But Pits and Rotts are not good pets. How many times have you heard of a beagle or a Golden Ret. attacking some kid? Just doesn't happen. Pits and Rotts should be outlawed as pets.

And yeah, I laugh my ass off at those punks who walk around with these dogs because they're pussies to begin with.

You're not taking this seriously, Zachman-san. Obviously your Karate is weak... Daniel-san would not shrink from such a challenge...

Yes well, Ancient Chinese proverb states that a friend does NOT remove a fly from the forehead of his friend with a hatchet.

AND a barking dog, wears, no shoes.

Besides, Miyagi says, "Fighting is No good... Somebody ALWAYS gets hurt." And, "Man who catches fly with chopsticks, is capable of anything."

And Master Kahn says, "When you can walk the rice paper, and leave no trace, you will have learned."

Besides all that, in China and the Philippinnes this is how they look at dogs:

as a tasty meal. This attitude helps and I believe that IF you can project that sentiment to the eyes of a dog opponent, they will think twice before trying any crap.   :D ;)

nothing to add but just felt seeing these pics posted 3 times in thread was just not enough

Hi Dave, thanks for the well wishes. Both my kids witnessed this attack(as well as my daughters friend who was spending the night) and they all were really upset by it.Goldie brought a lot of comfort to my kids during what turned out to be a brutal divorce between me and my ex. Her loss would have been unacceptable so there was never any hesitation for me to engage this shithead dog and if I could have safely fired I would have without question.
I think statistics show all breeds do attack BUT several breeds do so more violently and Pitts and Rotts are two of the worse ones. The Rott "Cocoa" who was also owned by Eric NEVER showed ANY agression during this attack she just ran around excitedly and got in my damn way. She is a sweetheart and I am so glad that she didnt get invlolved or she would have been destroyed also. I had a VERY clear shot at her(she stayed on the grass) and had her in my sights but once I realized she was not a threat I concentrated on the Pitt and am so glad I didnt shoot her.
There has been some real kindness and compassion and some real stupidity in this thread.I actually thought it would be much worse and hesitated to even post it here.Several of my friends here suggested that I should because it may help others who may face a simliar situation in the future so it was well worth it. You can fight and you can win and watching my kids joy as she recovers and the fact that Goldie is even alive is enough for me to do it again...................John

Why does my Gaydar go off when you post

Cause you're in love with me and wish I were actually gay and attracted to you so you could have me for your own and actually live your fantasies?

Sigh.... unfortunately you are barking up the wrong tree, sweetie...

Dude... What makes you think anyone here is interested in your gay fantasies?

Oh... and its "you're safe". Learn English... it'll make it easier for you to attract the "manly" gay man you seek.

Best of luck!
