About this steel cage fight with the jacked up champion Pit Bull.....I was just out running my Shephard and the dog breaks pinecones in half like they were popsicle sticks and she also has about a 30" vertical leap while standing still.

All I am saying is that IF you fall down you are in BIG trouble...that Pit pictured must be 80 pounds of pure muscle with a very large pound per square inch bite. Dog by instinct go for the thoat....just saying.

I said a steel kage match. Please make a note of this pun.

Alaskan Malamute/Alaskan Timber Wolf mix, Male approximately 95 lbs +/-. Yes, I am pretty flexible, with good reflexes and believe me when I tell you I had an INSTANT surge of adrenaline. The freakin thing scared the HELL out of me. While training martial arts (I started when I was 6, and I will be 41 next month) I roll with guys up to 320 lbs, and the dog was no where near as big or heavy, as them.

So are you suggesting you could do the same thing to the pit bull in the picture in this thread? If so, I would like to set up a steel kage (pun intended) match between you and a similar pit bull. Here are the rules. You are only allowed to use a rear naked choke. I've got 10K on the dog... I think I can wrangle up a few more wagerers as well. Winner take all... Ya game?

Steve

I would agree to that, IF you could convince me that you could persuade the dog to follow rules too. Since not, and I'm fairly sure you're kidding around with me, I would pass and certainly NEVER advocate trying to with intent and purpose, attack an animal unless you are hunting for food.

I am suggesting that IF I were being attacked again, or someone I saw was being attacked I would, jump in and have a better chance than the dog.

As soon as your "writers" take note of my issues with copywrite laws I will take note.

No, the dog can do whatever it wants to. In light of this, I'll allow you the crane technique as well... Ya game?

Cool. I spoke with my writing staff and their response was, "Noted and ignored."

Agreed, not the situation to promote healthy living. I am not trying to come across as Macho man or anything, just saying that I would fight, not curl up and give up. I understand that 80 lbs of work dog like a Pit, is not joke, but it only has 1 weapon, it's mouth, and 80 lbs is a lot less than the guys I regularly train with who out weight me by double and the dog, at 80 lbs is 100 lbs lighter than me, and in Johns scenario, the dogs mouth was PRE-OCCUPIED, and in my previous situation the dog WAS lunging at my throat, while I was on my knees. Special Forces training includes empty hand defense training against dogs. It IS possible to prevail, despite how many naysayer don't believe so, I've done it.

Would I prevail every time, well I HOPE so, BUT to have what if discussions is as pointless as what is the best amp threads.

Yes well, Ancient Chinese proverb states that a friend does NOT remove a fly from the forehead of his friend with a hatchet.

AND a barking dog, wears, no shoes.

Besides, Miyagi says, "Fighting is No good... Somebody ALWAYS gets hurt." And, "Man who catches fly with chopsticks, is capable of anything."

And Master Kahn says, "When you can walk the rice paper, and leave no trace, you will have learned."

Besides all that, in China and the Philippinnes this is how they look at dogs:

as a tasty meal. This attitude helps and I believe that IF you can project that sentiment to the eyes of a dog opponent, they will think twice before trying any crap.   :D ;)
