we dont have parole, but there's plenty of other ways you can jack them up.[/quote]

On the State level we do. Sometimes guys get that shortimers attitude and start doing extra dumb shit. The parole officers we have aren't very forgiving when they can't tow the line.

I had a guy break the rules and when I called him on it he told me "you're just a little piss ant and don't matter... I parole in a minute." I told him when he gets out he's gonna be the piss ant that doesn't matter. I then wrote him up. He went to the hole and he'll be up for parole again in like a year. :D Some guys screw up and are just there doing their time. Then there are the real fuck ups we don't need out with us. I have little patients for them.

i know what u mean man and i do give it a thumbs down in a lot of respects. I'm a 23 year veteran in IT and the days of being 24x7 slave IT Sys Engineer were some the worst times/experiences of my life. Talk about having no work/life balance! But when i moved up in management with the "right" company, things got a better...but there will always be stress in the business, its the nature of it and the money is too good now to toss it all away. oh well...

I used to be a scientist decades ago, now I'm a kind of male pharmaceutical prostitute, who tries to work with a Steve Jobs outfit in a suit/tie business.

I`m a "phone guy" also. I do database maintenance, support our shops around Norway, support our customers, solve problems, I find the right people, provide invoice information..... Most of it is based on some form of IT though. That`s also my education.

Shit... I meant to hit you up when I finally went full-time at the Uni. Lets just say, all that damn paperwork and decisions was more than I could decipher in a couple of days... I basically played the throw-a-dart-eyes-closed method. :)
