that's a really great place, Thump. It has a nice "home" feel to it. Congrats

That is two times the size of our current smaller house. :) We won't know what to do with ourselves!

Chris

Don't get too excited about the extra room... when we moved to a bigger house about 10 years ago, we managed to fill the extra space in about 10 minutes, lol. All your current stuff seems to expand to fill the available space! Some of that was probably due to not having any built-in cupboards in the new house where you can just dump stuff, though.

happy birthday to your kids, by the way!

Our entire house now is like 1,500 sq feet. lol...

Hate to see your heating bill and your power bill with AC in the summer...

Thanks! They're both girls, by the way.

No future THUMP guitarists? Now you need a boy.

I have a 27YO player and two future players--16 MOS and 14 days...(grandchildren)

:)

Let her focus on what SHE enjoys (dance/piano)...

Is she a ham with no stage frieght? Thats a sign of a future performer for sure.

If she likes the guitar as she gets older then so-be-it.

As you know you cant force things on kids...

Now go make a baby boy, so you can FORCE guitar on him.

:)

Thanks Dave! Good points for sure. We outgrew our current house a couple of years ago! :)

and i think the only benefit of having crap summers in northern ireland is not having to pay AC bills,

Shhhhhh, I'm trying not to think about that. lol... No, we haven't. I now own two houses. We've had alot of interest in our current house, but no takers yet. We decided to take a risk and hope like hell that our current house sells within a few months from now (or sooner of course.)

We didn't want to lose the house we love (the new one) and wanted to get moved in before school starts. It's a whole other school district and stuff (it's like 40-50 miles away from where we currently live) and I didn't want my oldest to start the school mid-year. It must be weird for kids to do that.

But yeah, our current house isn't 1/4th the price of the new one. I "should" be able to cover the cost of the current house with my gig money until it sells. It will be close, anyway.

Chris

Have you considered keeping the house and renting it? If you haven't, you might want to seriously consider it... start building that wealth young man. :D

Congrats and good luck selling you current place Chris. How is the market around the STL area as I may be forced to relocate their in the next year or so due to my firm merging and relocating to STL.

Cool! Ya know, I always pictured myself mowing the yard drinking a beer. But the truth is that I hate mowing and I'm always in a hurry to get it over with. I can't stand it. lol...

You`ll hate it less with more beer :D

Look at all these August birthdays!! :)
Mine is August 7th......

good luck selling the house!

renting i guess would be an idea, but i'd have thought it's a load of extra bother if you don't need the money... unless you can find some agency to do the hard stuff for you. Which i'm guessing will remove most of the profit...

really, it depends on who you get to rent.
