Yeah, Phil’s constant macho chest pounding bs was cringe af, but musically that album was on fire, and it’s no coincidence that that’s when they blew up.
Dime was always a force and his tone iconic.
How you guys know about any of that stuff? I feel blessed not to care about anything other than studio albums ?

Still like Power Metal and CFH the best

VDOP is when the pit vipers, domestic violence charges, camo shorts, busch ice, and honey boo boo OH HELL YEAH vibes started piling up
Does that mean you prefer your men to look like women? #askingforafriend All Joking Aside i prefer CFH as well.

I prefer my musicians to not be nu-metal baggy pants wearing wiggers :ROFLMAO:

CFH seems to be the best intersection of talent, hunger, and being influenced by things that aren't shit for pantera

I wasn't sure what to expect outta 'em but I have dug every EP so far. Pretty sweet that they are doing a proper full length. The bass player in Scour fronts a pretty good STL doom outfit called Nest that's worth checking out as well.

Pretty much destroys anything Phil’s done since Power Metal and NOLA. Prove me wrong.

That's Fair enough but i never got the Nu-Metal Baggy Pants wearing vibe from Pantera. I did get the tough guy red neck vibe from them......mostly from Phil. then again caring about what a band looks like or wears is not a concern to me.....Look at Manowar as an example or even Judas Priest, Rob Halford dressed like he was in a Leather Bar in NYC's West Village for most of his career & of course None of the guys that worshipped him Knew he was gay.....Maybe just maybe they were as well. Dee Snider from Twisted Sister looked like the Tranny that cleaned my Mom's Beauty Salon when i was growing up.

Nah, Down is great. Really wish we were getting more them than Phil and the boys covering pantera

That would have been a good one to "Copy video URL at current time", ie., 4:00 minute mark :dunno:

Domination and Primal Concrete Sledge are two of my favorites!
Totally agree about CFH!

I know it's not a popular opinion but Panteras shift from thrash with some melody to "groove" metal for white trash was one of the biggest missed opportunities in metal.

They became big but could have been so much better. The first half of CFH is like a window into what they should have been.

I fucking HATE 50%+ of FBD and 100% of everything after that including Damage Plan. Vulgar had some good heavy shit but Cowboys was their pinnacle for me as well.

So now rig-talk members don't like Vulgar Display Of Power and Far Beyond Driven ? LOL that's quite unexpected. I think both are masterpieces but what do I know ?

I’d say they are my favorite metal band. Cowboys is my favorite if I had to pick one, but if that album is a 10 the others are like a 9.8

Phil's probably got my favourite voice ever. I didn't care much for his Anton Crowley venture into black metal, this is pretty badass though. I didn't know he had the guttural in him, digging it.

I actually dug some of that too - but a whole album of it would be ear fatigue :dunno:
