Another pop rock song. e906 VH4 hod rodded, Diezel front loaded cab top speaker. Meant to have cleans for a while, but I finally IMO got my distortion captured right in the last half of the song. IMO sounds killer. The bass needs to be eq'd for some more bottom end as I do a little different bass lines behind the cleans

Alright guys, this is my cover.....a few things left, but it's 95% done. I wanna add vocals ( yeah I know!) So I'll update tomorrow.

this is how it was recorded:

Diezel Einstein Left side - 3 tracks
a) Ch.1 mode 3 is panned hard left
b) Ch2 is panned 45% left
c) Ch2 with Wah for the intro (Boss ME-50 wah)

Mesa F-50 Right side - 2 tracks
a) OD channel with Contour on hard panned right
b) Ch.2 w/out contour 45% panned right

Guitar: Fender Strat with EMG 85 in the bridge.
Mic: shure sm57
Cab: Framus 2x12 with V30s
Interface: Metric Halo ULN-2
Macbook
Logic Pro

Post production: VERY little.
Just a little bit of EQ (mostly some cutting down 50hz freq. and 15k) nothing too heavy.

Drum/Bass track: It's not my track, a fellow forumite on the HCAF did it, very nice anyways. I eq'd the drums a little bit (some compression and a bit of EQ)

that's it! hope you dig it. I like it

I'll update with the vocals. :cop:

I would but I dunno any of the DM songs as I just have been writing a lot lately. Plus if you sent it to me and Godforbid I fuck up one note, the ESP board would have my head. :) They are great for feedback, but when it comes to Metallica on that board, it gets pretty heated some times LOL

I suck too at making drums my man, hence why I use EZ drummer and most my songs and fills all sound stock or the same in each song LOL. But they are meant to be arrangement and riff ideas for my band since I write all the music. I swear the best thing I ever had done was fire my old guitar player and just keep it a one guitar player band. It is tough to rock out as I go nuts when I play as I get so high off playing (No drugs or booze for me when I play live out or rehearse) Plus when we go the studio to jam, I bring the Vh4S and have the tone going thru a cab on each far side of the stage so it really fills up the room :)

ok end of silly rant ;)

alright, a little cover tune I recorded like 4 or 5 months ago. It's a John Mayer tune, The Heart Of Life from the Continuum record.

It's all Einstein. At the end there's a bad note in the sync which drives me crazy, but I'm too lazy to fix it. :D

cheers

Here is a clip I just semi-finished. Supposed to be an instrumental. I don't think it really fits with what I write for my band

VH4 HotRoddy Mono, Deetzul rear loaded cab e906 mic, and good old Snow White........she is all I record with as she sounds the bestestsssss to mezzzzzz LOL

nice nbart! sounds like a western song hehehe

I like the Vh4 better...... it's like a fuller "more mature" clean.......the Herbert's glassier, but I like the Vh4 better.

do you mind making a crunch/hard rock comparison too?

Herbert sounds like younger sibling of VH4, VH4 is like more sitting on the porch & smoking a cigar sound, Herbert is more like sniffing cocaine & getting ugly

:D

do you mind making a crunch/hard rock comparison too?

I'll try to get something up.

Posted this one before as well, but it's Einy clip anyway :)

Guitar hammering starts at 1:11 ;) Synths before that.

Gibson LP Classic Antique into Einstein 100W head, Framus 2x12 rear loaded cab with V30 and G12K-100 speakers. Mic'ed with Senn e906 (@V30) and Geffel condenser (w/ UM70 capsule @G12K), through custom made (API like) mic preamp into RME Multiface. Effects added during the mix.

This is sick. Guess I've no worries regarding how my LP Custom will sound through an E! WTG.

Hey guys here is a raw clip of the VH4S in the rehearsal space we jam at. So just the Zoom H4 with 2 shure SM57', the VH4S going into the two Boogie 4x12's they had spread apart in the room. No Bass as our bass player was out that day so may lack so low end, but I tried to compensate with raising the deep on both sides a little :) But ya get the idea

Here is the original Demo I made with my Ezdrummer, my Mono Vh4, Diezel Cab...oh and same guitar as when jamming above, my fav the snow white MX-II CTM :)
