Finally we got our first full length record ready and got some samples up. Check them out at the following locations:
http://www.bodybag-metal.de/index2.php?where=disco
https://www.myspace.com/bodybagmetal

All guitars are 80% Diezel VH4 Chanel 3, recorded with a new Diezel frontloaded cab, G12K100 miced with a MD421 and SM57 and 20% the same DI Signal reamped with a Krank Rev1 recorded with a Mesa Recto cab and SM57.
The overall sound is absolutely Diezel. The Krank was just added to get some more upper mid bite and aggressiveness.
It is only one recorded guitar track per side on the rhythms. Nothing doubled in terms of played twice.

Guitar was a PRS Tremonti SE with a Duncan Custom on the bridge.

Have fun
Great clips. The guitars stand out in the mix very well. I used to own a Krank Rev1...didn't like it...probably got a sour one, anyway.

Thanks! I actually didn't like the Rev1 for itself, too. Way to harsh and trebly for my taste but it was good to add a little bite to the mix.

I have some songs recorded recorded with my diezels here:

http://www.guitar-dreams.com/mysongs.php

All songs below recorded with:

Mics: SM57 and Royer R121
Mic preamps: Great River 1NV, Really Nice Preamp (RNP)
Soundcard: Lynx2
Effects: Done using plugins - I generally use just reverb and delay and chorus on clean stuff
Cabinet: Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12

Now that I have tried out a Diezel cab I realize my cab sucks. When I listen to my songs I hear so much muddy mids. Through the Diezel cab it was a different story...

- Bittersweetness
- Einstein (Ch 2 I think)
- Guitar: Ibanez RG2820 (Tone Zone bridge, Air Norton neck)

- Strange Days
- Einstein (Ch2)
- Guitar: Ibanez RG2820 (Tone Zone bridge, Air Norton neck)

- Alien Quest
- Einstein (Ch1, Mode 3)
- Guitar: Ibanez RG2820 (Tone Zone bridge, Air Norton neck)

- Full Circle
- VH4S (Ch 3)
- Carvin DC127 (stock pickups I think...)

- Worlds in a Blade of Grass
- VH4S (Ch3)
- Carvin DC127 (stock pickups I think...)

None of these were recorded in a studio or anything. Just me in my home studio.

And here is me playing Steve Vai's For the Love of God with the Einstein (Ch2 I think):

These are a few sample of songs we recorded last year. I used my VH4 through a Wizard 4x12 for the most part and a little bit of the producers triple rec for good measure. All of the electric guitar was my 02 Les Paul Standard. Effects were a mix of Protools plugins and old pedals. The Diezel in the pic is my main amp but the Bogner does its thing well too although, for these songs I only used the Diezel. Shipping both heads across the country was too expensive...... :(

It's faaar from perfect, but I enjoyed jamming to this tune!

:)

Einstein + JM strat =

Testing my new mic (Sennheiser 421) and a new ECC83 tube in V1 of my Einstein

2 guitars panned left with the 421 and two guitars panned right with the sm57

Bass also played through the Einstein and mic'd with the SM57

sorry for the crappy Garage Band Drums (it was all recorded in garage band)

Hey guys here are some semi-finished songs from our first demo. All done with a VH4 hot rodded (what I mean by that is I got of EBAY and it is biased around 49 and is hot as hell)

So for sure not the brOOtalZ as some may know my band....but anyhoo....love my VH4. Drums done at a studio, guitars done at home with a Randall ISO cab and some acoustic foam inside with a Sennheizer e906. Bass is low I know. So this are just unmastered tracks

Magnify

Cleanse (gets cut off as soundclick only let's u upload 10MB unless you have a premier account)

Sleeping dogs

Lemme know what ya think. Thanks guys. :)

Edit:

BTW Joey I really like how you play a lot of different stuff. Not that everything has to be Metal all the time with Diezels. The strat + diezel tonez sound hot and great playing too man.

hi Sean! where have you been? :)

wicked tone-s ;)

great melody on the vocals too, especially on Cleanse.

guitar wise my pref is Magnify

Hey thanks man. Yeah Magnify has been my fav.

I have been around but so much shit in my life has left me little time for teh interwebz. Things like calling off a wedding. Just had to do it and get out of there.

Hey Sean, thanks man. Great stuff btw... I'm glad you got the band rolling!

Calling off a wedding? and you're still breathing?  (sorry, don't mean to make fun of your situation, I bet that was a tough one man :( )

  No offense taken. It was rough. But all and all I had my fam behind me and everyone kinda felt we were not really a fit. They kinda thought we would get divorced in a year. But we owned a house, had wedding plans, invites out etc. It was a mess. So I kinda just crawled into my work and my band. Still getting back on my feet.

If you guys want to download the rest of the tracks (but one, Cleanse gets cut off) got to https://www.soundclick.com/CFuse

sorry to hear that man.

I'm sure she must have suffered quite a bit, but you did the honest thing, plus you saved yourself and her some rocky times.

Glad you're on your feet and rocking out!
