And since this is rig talk I will add that I am not claiming to be an apple farmer. I just chose to get my apple information from them instead of some guy that once saw an apple
Where did he claim the earth is flat?
I'm getting challenged now for supposedly both saying it's flat and saying it's round lol
Really? Like what? I think that the Earth's apparent flatness is a good argument that it is actually flat.
For the same reason it's supposedly curves around the rest of the globe. Granted I recognize the length of a bathtub would have a very very shallow curve but technically it would be there.
Only one of them I trust is Granny Smith. And since this is rig talk I will add that I am not claiming to be an apple farmer. I just chose to get my apple information from them instead of some guy that once saw an apple
Science says that the “apple” in the garden of Eden was most likely a pomegranate. Sometimes science is annoyingOnly one of them I trust is Granny Smith.
It's just informal chatting and debating. I see problems with both the standard view of the Earth and flat earth. I remain agnostic but if you force me to answer I'd say it looks flat, feels flat, no spinning, no curved water etc. and no hidden universal force that holds everything together!Page 1 post #11 you are supporting the flat earth model.
Then page 21 post #405 you acknowledge that the water in a bathtub has a curve for the same reason water curves around the rest of the globe which supports globe earth.
The tree was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. No specific fruit is mentioned in Torah.Science says that the “apple” in the garden of Eden was most likely a pomegranate. Sometimes science is annoying
It looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but somehow it's a hyrax.I remain agnostic but if you force me to answer I'd say it looks flat, feels flat, no spinning, no curved water etc. and no hidden universal force that holds everything together!
Someone should plant more of thoseThe tree was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. No specific fruit is mentioned in Torah.
Why though? Were were innocent and immortal, not knowing evil prior to disobeying.Someone should plant more of those

I apologize then for wrongfully inferring you were riding both sides of the fence. I'm understanding now you're agnostic, not necessarily supporting flat earth but lean away from supporting globe earth. It's just informal chatting and debating. Nekked tooWhy though? Were were innocent and immortal, not knowing evil prior to disobeying.

But that ship has sailed. Might as well make the best of itWhy though? Were were innocent and immortal, not knowing evil prior to disobeying.
Anyone who broaches the matter is subject to ridicule, insults, etc, so an honest debate among the most knowledgeable isn't very possible. The secular mind protects globe earth the same way a Christian protects their faith. When I started to question the globe earth model my own mind had a hard time dealing with the idea even though at it's base level it has zero impact on day to day life.So far globe earth has held up against scrutiny.
They didn't know they were nekked.Nekked too
I always chocked it up to people repeating stuff they heard rather than reading the scriptures for themselves. Most people are bible illiterate. But it's 66 books, plus the Septuagint so there is a lot there to digest. More than several lifetimes.I always wondered how it went from forbidden fruit to apple. I want to say it originated with modern Christianity somewhere. My best guess is a mistranslation from 2 words that look similar.
Yeah but you already know good and evil so eating the fruit twice from the same tree wouldn't change anything, lolBut that ship has sailed. Might as well make the best of it
Fair enough. I would like to perform the laser experiment myself at the very least.I apologize then for wrongfully inferring you were riding both sides of the fence. I'm understanding now you're agnostic, not necessarily supporting flat earth but lean away from supporting globe earth.
The "burden of proof" so to speak falls more in your court to invalidate globe earth since you disagree with that model more. That's how science works. Come up with a theory or model then attempt to invalidate it to see if it will hold up against scrutiny. So far globe earth has held up against scrutiny. Can't say as much for flat or any other shape earth.
I've always been confused by how knowledge of evil and good somehow makes you culpable where if you didn't know about good and evil and did the exact same thing you wouldn't be culpable.Yeah but you already know good and evil so eating the fruit twice from the same tree wouldn't change anything, lol
That's kind of the clincher. Seems many people have tested that across large bodies of water and found zero curve. The globe earth defenders will just cry "bias confirmation" and pretend like the tests never happened.Fair enough. I would like to perform the laser experiment myself at the very least.
