Also - are the thousands of pictures taken by individuals on FB, IG, TT, Pintrest, etc., of spheres in space all fake? So all these randoms are in on the big fake news that the earth is a globe as well as objects in space?

I guess just because it's round doesn't make it a sphere. You could be looking at the flat face of a quarter. LOL

Now demonstrate that effect with a single object on a black background.

So you're saying space pics are extra 2D?

Well enjoy your weekend gents, flat or globe, don't matter to me. :dunno:

I'm going to get as far away as possible in the shortest amount time
Have a safe and enjoyable trip to the hillbilly hideaway brother. Glad to see you enjoying it so often, that's great.

I would too.

As far as that microwave transmission, I know a little bit about it but not an expert. I've contracted for some PTP wireless, fixed wireless, satellite and microwave transmission for data networks. Microwaves, from what I know, have a fairly large wave form and perfect for propagation over land and sea as well as obstacles (vs PTP or 802.11). The microwave towers in the example were not at sea level. The provider of the service is admitting that the towers were 2,000 ft high. I had to research this, this was not at the tip of my tongue.

They're misreading that excerpt as it's not talking about the ExploreAir LR System, but rather about wireless provider distance claims and the height required to clear a 124 mile link. It's true that we don't know for sure the ExploreAir height, but I found that the highest mast in the world is the KVLY-TV Mast, standing at 1,987 feet. The ExploreAir LR System is 146 miles, so we still need an explanation. BTW, that link is not up anymore and I found it here: https://web.archive.org/web/20090604180300/http://www.exaltcom.com/How-Far-Will-It-Go.aspx

Maybe we should put some pictures in the microwave and listen to the radio.

Because their camera resolution sucks that bad?

I don’t think sucks, it’s just not easy to take a picture of something 700 million miles away. Plus the light it’s reflecting is coming from even further away.

But yea, composites are used to make the quality look like images we are used to from a point and shoot.

I thought the reason composites are used is because the satellites aren't far enough away to capture the whole earth at once. How do composites help when the target object is 700 million miles away?

I was thinking how in the middle ages when people were promoting a spherical rotating earth they were considered heretics and persecuted. Things never change.

Imagine how bad the insults towards ball earthers were on the internet back then.

I'm still in the Tycobrahe camp I think. Geocentric with a curtain of stars hung as though all the world were a stage. If I were more into rock n roll I'd probably just say the world revolved around me.
