None of your points are getting across because like the "call a car a horseless carriage then" is a bad analogy. It's still called what it was before. Calling the heavens "space" is more akin to calling "Bob" "Linda" instead. It's a reframing, an attempt to cast the subject in a completely different light. It's woke language as far as I'm concerned.

Call me obtuse but I thought heaven was a spiritual place you go after you die and you've been good and shown faith. Vs Hell. Neither are 'up in space' or 'up in the air' or 'up there by those clouds between 2,000 ft and 6,000 ft.

I thought people associated the heavens with 'up there' because that is where the sun, moon, stars, eclipse, meteors, rain, lightening, etc., occurred. So God must be 'up there'.

So to me, heaven and space are two totally different things and different concepts. Meaning they can coexist. I'm trying to not state things as facts. Everyone's perception of reality and what is real are/can be different.

Bro, you are as lost as these other morons.

The one thing the fable of the revolving Earth has done, it has shown the terrible power of a lie, a lie has the power to make a man a mental slave, so that he dares not back the evidence of his own senses. To deny the plain and obvious movement of the Sun he sees before him. When he feels himself standing on an Earth utterly devoid of motion, at the suggestion of someone else he is prepared to accept that he is spinning furiously round. When he sees a bird flying, and gaining over the ground, he is prepared to believe that the ground is really travelling a great number of times faster than the bird, finally, in order to uphold the imagination of a madman, he is prepared to accuse his Maker of forming him a sensiferous lie.” -E. Eschini, “Foundations of Many Generations”

According to the bible it is on earth. After judgement day.

I can’t totally answer for VB, but his beliefs are interesting to me, so I try and take in what I can.
As I’ve taken it, he sees anything beyond the earth’s firmament, what we call space, as the heavens. And people are not meant to go there on their own so to speak.

I like to “modernize” religious things as thought exercises. Which gets me thinking, for my own entertainment really, what a good definition of “firmament” is. As in how far “up” do you have to go to leave it? The ISS is barely in space, like 1/100th maybe, of the distance to moon. So to tie it in to the discussion, I could see how someone could also believe that one could be far enough away from earth to see the curve clearly, while still being within a “firmament” according to their beliefs

Why are churches and cemeteries' on top of hills at highest point? To be closer to God.

Also...-When one 'looks up to the heavens'.
Couldn't tell you brother. They're not all on hills though. I would guess to avoid lowland flooding and such.

Isaiah 66:1
Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

1 Kings 8:27
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

There is a difference between Heaven and "the heavens". Heaven is not necessarily a physical realm and "the heavens" is what you can see above the Earth.

I proved the Earth was round earlier in this thread and yet you [flat earthers] want to forget that happened and go back to your delusions. I have no respect for you. If you can't be logical on this topic it undermines your credibility on all topics.

Further, the Bible does not say the Earth is flat. Anyone saying it does is applying their own interpretation to it.

If your church says the Earth is flat then that's on your church.
