I've regularly frequented the Louisiana bayou my friend. I think it's a beautiful state (parts of it anyways) lol
I'm a big fan of the Robertson's and the whole "Duck Commander" gang. They have done great things for the kingdom of Christ and have blessed many. West Monroe is a nice area.

coming from a guy who lives in Australia smh...
I wouldn't ever go to the US. Too many rattlesnakes, copperheads and grizzly bears. oooh so scary

oh and cougars... and animals that spray stink out their arses.

Matthrew 5 22
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
I realize we are on new ground now and I like that. Perhaps we could carry this a bit further. I really feel you are taking that out of context. This is speaking more to the anger of the heart. Are you saying that a Christian cannot say to another Christian "you fool" if they continually touch something hot and it burns them? Surely not. Like I say, time does not allow me to list the multitude of warnings about fools and foolish people in proverbs, and the entirety of scripture is Jesus words. He doesn't speak with a forked tongue, so both of us can't be right here.

so you've never been and make so many claims against us? My singular claim was they showed totalitarian characteristics during covid and they absolutely did. I can't speak much to anything else because I haven't been. I do like Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and many Australian actors tho. LOL

They say not being able to detect sarcasm and humour is the first sign of dementia.

However restricting freedoms temporarily for a public health emergency is hardly totalitarianism. They acted on the advice of the medical profession. There was no conspiracy. If people wanted to flout the rules then they deserved what was coming to them. Which wasn't being sent to a gulag like in a real totalitarian state. They were taken off the street and fined. Big deal. I've seen your cops on youtube. What a chip on their shoulders. They are far worse than our cops I can assure you. What a power trip your cops have. I hate them. Now that's totalitarianism... Also we can oust our PM without an election because we don't elect PM's we elect parties. Try and oust a rogue President. Once they are elected they are like a totalitarian.

While a precise percentage is difficult to pinpoint, a significant portion of the world's deadliest animals, particularly venomous snakes, are considered to live in Australia, with some estimates suggesting that Australia houses a disproportionately high number compared to other regions, including the majority of the top most venomous snakes globally, like the inland taipan; making it a hotspot for deadly creatures relative to its landmass

It is speaking to the anger of the heart I think. I would argue we should do our best to avoid insulting other people because as the bible says we don't know what someone is going through. As St. Joseph the Hesychast said in a previous quote I shared, kindness has a ripple effect and I think it could be argued that so do insults and put downs. Which kind of ripple will be a credit to us as a fruit of faith?

c'mon man don't hide behind sarcasm, you were angry, really angry. Not sure why. I tried to reconcile with you brother. calm down. Ultimately our allegiance is to Christ, not country.

Definitely has some of the most beautiful wilderness areas around (in my opinion). They don't call Louisiana sportsman's paradise for nothing. The bayou areas where people live can look run down to some, but that's just Cajun living. You'll find some of the nicest people there. The type that will invite you in like you're family having just met you.

I'm not too fond of New Orleans anymore. When I was younger it was a fun place to go. Lots of stuff to do during the day and a fun night life. Mardi Gras always sucked though because of the excessive tourists. Now-a-days it's turned into a real shithole. Not the migrant haven you see in some places, but still what you think of as a typical Dem. run city.

Texas-Louisiana-Mississippi-Alabama-Florida.....some of my favorite states.
Agreed. The wife and I like to take a weekend trip down the gulf a couple times a year if we can.

I understand your point.
Is it possible to call someone a fool or idiot and not be insulting or have anger of heart?
I'm not implying that you haven't made me angry through all of this, you have, but we are past that now and forgiveness is at work.
just continuing on in the conversation.

oh yea man, Cajuns are the best people. Love em.

I once got stuck on that bridge, that long bridge.........apachalia I think? coming from Houston to Baton Rouge for 8 hours man. It was the worst. Thankfully, I was in the middle of "breaking bad" so had something to keep me company.

Except most of us don't live on vast tracts of that land mass.

On the other hand there is a huge grizzly bear population living in New York City and East LA. People get mauled daily.

but your logic doesn't hold up compared to your original claim because the same can be said for us Americans.
I live on 2 acres in the woods but most others in Houston don't.

I mean, it's a put down meant to berate someone for a lack of intelligence. Maybe among friends but say you said it to a friend in front of some others. The others could take it to mean you meant to run him down in an embarrassing way so the offended person might not even be the recipient of the insult, just someone who hears you use it. The orthodox way is to completely avoid insulting other people. I spent most of my life trash talking people as a defense mechanism.

I'd rather deal with rattlesnakes & and copperheads than some of the venomous snakes you guys have over there. Though I'm more familiar with the demeanor of our snakes here. When I was doing wildlife biology before I fell into analytical chemistry I used to handle the frequently. I even piloted a study that compared copperhead population to broadbanded watersnake coloration. My part was doing a population survey before I handed the work off. So I handled copperheads frequently.

And yes... Fuck skunks!
