I once got stuck on that bridge, that long bridge.........apachalia I think? coming from Houston to Baton Rouge for 8 hours man. It was the worst. Thankfully, I was in the middle of "breaking bad" so had something to keep me company.
Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. Several people I work with drive it every day coming in to Baton Rouge from Lafayette. If there's an accident on the bridge that takes a while to clear they might as well turn around an go home if they can. It'll be backed up for hours.

Are you talking about the Breaux bridge?

I mean, it's a put down meant to berate someone for a lack of intelligence. Maybe among friends but say you said it to a friend in front of some others. The others could take it to mean you meant to run him down in an embarrassing way so the offended person might not even be the recipient of the insult, just someone who hears you use it. The orthodox way is to completely avoid insulting other people. I spent most of my life trash talking people as a defense mechanism.
well, too be fair, you insulted @Thumbpicker and I about Protestantism many times throughout the last couple of days.
but, like I say forgiveness is at work now.
We should both ease up on those who have opposing views.
I think we can agree on that.

that's the one! It was terrible man. Longest day of my life. The Poor women, we could take a leak off the bridge, but for them, different story.

Yeah, the town of Breaux Bridge is in that same area. You're hitting the basin bridge right as you're getting out of Breaux Bridge going towards Baton Rouge.

They say not being able to detect sarcasm and humour is the first sign of dementia.

However restricting freedoms temporarily for a public health emergency is hardly totalitarianism. They acted on the advice of the medical profession. There was no conspiracy. If people wanted to flout the rules then they deserved what was coming to them. Which wasn't being sent to a gulag like in a real totalitarian state. They were taken off the street and fined. Big deal. I've seen your cops on youtube. What a chip on their shoulders. They are far worse than our cops I can assure you. What a power trip your cops have. I hate them. Now that's totalitarianism... Also we can oust our PM without an election because we don't elect PM's we elect parties. Try and oust a rogue President. Once they are elected they are like a totalitarian.
so you are ok with people being arrested and seized for being outside at the beach under the edict to stay inside so as not to spread the flu?

If you think it's authoritarianism here you are deluded. You know very well you are exaggerating because you have a gun fetish.
Fetish ? Hardly. What I have is a fetish where if my neighbor is fucking with me purposely the cops don't threaten to arrest me. I kick the fuck out of the cocksucker and that's the end of the problem.

Australia is higher on the freedom scale that the US - I remember posting a link to that some other time. There's more than one type of freedom.

How about freedom to walk the streets without getting shot by some crazy flat earth mofo.
Millions and millions of people do it here every day. And they didn't have to bow to their overlords.

Nobody bows to anybody from the British Royal Family in Australia mate. That's a myth that gets trotted out to use as an insult on internet forums.

The British Parliament is bicameral and the House Of Lords can only delay legislation for a specific amount of time.
The Crown is advised by the House of Commons, the head of which is the Prime Minister.
The real power is in the elected officials of British Parliament, same as any popular representative democracy really.

His claim is ridiculous. Speaking of @acceptance that is. Jesus made the earth and everything in it. Pretty sure He knows what it looks like.

Col 1: 14-16

14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
The Firstborn of All Creation
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16For in Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
17¶And He is before all things,
And in Him all things hold together.
18And He is the head of the body, the church
You are a case study in reading your own biases into the Bible and then claiming it objectively says what you think it does. The ancient Hebrews did not believe Earth is a spinning ball. Jesus almost assuredly did not believe that either.

Don't worry he'll call you an idiot in a few posts.
Well I have forgiven any offense so no big deal if so.

You get a chance to watch that video or at least part of it? Fella is definitely a little different but his model is very interesting.

I downloaded the audio but realized I needed to see what was going on... I will check it out.

No, you bow to your Australian overlords. Lockdowns, gun confiscations. Fuck that, mate.
