Yeah, but you aren't him, so that is reason enough in his mind to hate you.You somehow seem to skim over my compliments on your clips, I was one of your biggest fans

You asked about my views with respect to the Bible and flat Earth. I have a slightly different take about religion and the Bible. I actually think that both do contain truth, but I agree that the specific stories that people create around the Bible and other holy books are, you could say, embellished. For example, I think there is enough evidence, both geologically and in multiple ancient accounts, that there was in fact a flood. But was Noah the hero? ...I really don't know what was going on that long ago in ancient times. I am more open-minded in that I suspect there is more truth (not just wisdom or universal moral laws) in the book than we skeptics might imagine.Religion is made up. It is a made up story.
Early man didn't have any scientific tools to explain the world around them.
Most of those accounts give men's wickedness as the reason for the flood. "The earth was full of violence" in Noah's day.I really don't know what was going on that long ago in ancient times.
It's just a term mostly used in a derogatory way towards anyone questioning the official story line. Guys like thumpbicker will then gate keep that official story line without even getting paid. They cannot deal with the idea of diverging from what the authorities have decreed and get openly hostile about it at times. As for being a flat earther I guess you could describe me that way, but I don't see myself that way. I just find the conventional view difficult to believe.
2nd greatest. Bison tenderloin is the greatest.Venison tenderloin is in my opinion the greatest meat in existance
Only ever tried bison ground chuck for burgers. Will see if I can find it anywhere, haven't seen it around.2nd greatest. Bison tenderloin is the greatest.
I know and you been motivating me to do it. I should fire up my dutch oven on the tripod one of these days. I'm kinda planning on smoking a bunch of venison and stuff in a week or two when deer season opens. Maybe I'll make some soup or ask my wife to make deer chili. I could do a pretty sweet roast too. I'm actually starting to get pumped about eating a mountain of venison. What about you? What about @Floyd Eye ? We got a Nov 2nd opener here and I got until mid January to bag my limit (5). I don't even have to register anything other than buying my $30 tags, just shoot and eat. God bless Texas for that.
Those are excellent as well. There used to be a little quonset hut that was a diner about 10 miles west of me in a little town called Pacific that would sell a Bison burger, giant helping of steak fries and a coke for $5. When I lived over there I ate there at least 3 times a week.Only ever tried bison ground chuck for burgers. Will see if I can find it anywhere, haven't seen it around.
For five bucks a go? I would have too! Those are excellent as well. This was maybe 2000 or so. The place isn't there anymore and if it was I would guess the prices would have risen a bit since then. For five bucks a go? I would have too!
Correct, and In a like manner I / we respect your right to believe the lunacy that we all evolved from a amoeba like goo and ultimately fish became philosophers. What a joke.No not lyrics at all simple thoughts off the top of my head. I could go on for days about how there is no proof of a god. I would think that a Dog is more of a god than any of the Santa Claus bullshit you all believe but I do respect your right to believe what you want. Oral Roberts and Jim and Tammy and all those mega church fucks that claim they need you to buy them a new plane to get closer to god. Holy shit.
I agree with you on that one. What a joke.
You say "he is portrayed as vindictive and unforgiving". I see that as sort of a non-believers interpretation of the OT. I don't see any big change in personalities. I just mostly see a change in the context from dealing with building a literal nation from the ground up, set apart to God, to building the spiritual kingdom of God since the people he chose strayed from the path.1. How does one reconcile the change in "personalities" of God between the old and new testament?
The "wedding guests" i.e the bride of Christ that he invited in the OT, the jewish people, chose on their own accord not to show up for the party so he went out into the streets and invited anyone who was willing to come feast with him.2. If God is all knowing why did He need a new covenant? Why would He not have know and accounted for everything in the old covenant so a new covenant wouldn't be necessary?
I'm in the middle of sanding and prepping a room for painting so I can't really go into this right now. Copy this text into a PM and I'll try to address it when I'm not dusty and have time.I've lost track of the proof of globe earth thread since you guys went the religion route and don't want to clutter it up more. So I'll ask this here.
First off let me hope that this won't start another orthodox vs protestant argument. I'm just looking for some different perspectives because I never got a straight answer before. And I'm not trying to be factious about this or anything. I not familiar enough with what religious texts say and genuinely want to know how one views this. 99% of the time I've been dismissed or told I shouldn't ask such things. Since @MontiCristo @Thumbpicker and @VonBonfire all seem to be strong in your faith I think you all may be able to give a good perspective. I'll also invite anyone else who may have a perspective on this to answer as well.
In the old testament God is generally portrayed as unforgiving and vindictive. Some specific events that come to mind are tossing Adam & Eve out of the garden, the great flood, and the destruction of Sodom and Gamora. In the new testament God is mostly portrayed as forgiving and loving. This is evident in Jesus and him dying to atone for people's' sins. There's also the whole thing between the old covenant and the new covenant.

In fact, in some ways it could be argued he became more strict in the new testament. OT=do not commit adultery. NT-if you even look with lust you are guilty of adultery. OT=thou shalt not murder. NT=if you hate your brother you are subject to a murderer's judgment. OT=honor your mother and father. NT: If you love your mother or father more than God you are not worthy of the kingdom.
