I’m with mooncobra on this one. If your spending 7k on an amp and your pissed that the tubes broke from Germany to the US……your not a realist. Tubes break. Buy some new ones and enjoy your amp.
The back panel????? Tiago, I don’t know you, but many here seem to respect your gear collection. It just doesn’t seem worth airing this out online to me? Maybe it helps you?
If I’m missing details please fill me in. You guys got your amps….I’m sure they sound great based on what I’ve heard.

Me and Danny Travis could use the same amp and make thunderous tones, I could never hate on his amp because it delivers the goods. Other than that..I don't know what to say. That Larry sounds amazing. I also think Larry is a troll like me. Larry should send the tubes, the tube guard, and whatever else people are owed. I will say Larry should give Dan a sig amp because he represents the real tones more than any other.

I’m just still wondering where all the Larry’s are?? Even here, I know more than a few guys have them yet I don’t ever recall seeing a picture of one, clips are no where to be found anywhere, ive never seen one in a studio or heard of anyone besides Schaffer using one, like wtf lol

Fortin apparently stole the magic Larry conjures in his dreams during a deep slumber of important circuit dreams. He provided proof by showing what Fortin lifted. His precision German engineering was used, and he produced the worlds first dream conversion unit and he wakes in the morning with complete circuits mapped out.

I think he is a mad scientist who applies his wily genius to guitar amps. I heard a Larry modded Marshall on YouTube and was shocked at how good it sounded. It was the best sounding modded Marshall I’ve ever heard. It was a red Marshall so it sounded even better, everyone knows the red tolex enhances the sound and tone. The other amps I’ve heard were also amazing. But due to his wily genius he erupts with passion and fury when someone attacks him. The buyer also erupts with anger at getting a Larry with broken tubes.

It appears we have a stale mate on our hands.

Larry once spin kicked chuck norris. Larry eats nos tubes for breakfast. Novosibir is the direct translation of one with terrifying penis that makes best circuits with only right angle wire pulls. When he tested a fortin amp. He put his cock on one of the caps and grounded the tip to the chassis. It didnt give him an erection because of the pcb and he deemed it unworthy. Ever since then, fortin has been relegated to the pedal market and jared paladickless is the new texas ranger. haduken!

My thought is, if you are spending that much on an amp, the glass should be intact. Especially you pay so much for the nos tubes. I have shipped amps and packed everyone based on the dipshits that deliver them. (Ever see one of those fedex cocksuckers drop an amp out of a truck onto a dolly?) I have drove up as they were delivering an amp for me. I asked the guy if he could fucking read the fragile sticker. Truth is, people ship dog shit and out fragile, so that doesnt mean shit. And fedex guy cares as much about your package as you care about his package.

As far as sblue, if you buy multiple amps from a guy at that price, you are a good customer and should be treated as one. Shame on you larry. You have lived a long time and not realized how nice a return customer is that isnt a fucking psycho.. jesus. This is why every amp maker is running circles around you with an inferior product...

Dan is a good voice for Larry. But i think rather than giving that bastard another larry, i should get a sig.single.channel. After i write a couple grunge songs with it to offend @DanTravis62 , i will bring the larry to death metal and put it on the map for the first time.

Larry sent an amp to me, some of the preamp tubes came microphonic. Larry shipped the amp from Germany with the tubes in the sockets, not sure if that what caused the issue or not.

Larry filed a claim through fedex who denied the claim the first time. According to Larry he appealed and they agreed to cover the microphonic tubes, Larry agreed to take the money he received from the claim and send me replacement tubes.

At the same time, I purchased an ADDITIONAL backup set of tungsram preamp tubes from Larry for his then going rate which at the time was over 400 EURO, and I sent Larry the money, Larry agreed to send me the replacement tubes covered by the fedex claim PLUS the ADDITIONAL full set of tungsrams together upon receipt of the payment. Larry received the payment.

Followed by 2 years of excuses as to why he has not sent the tubes, usually saying he will send them out by a specific date, and he never does. Then I believe it was at the 2 year mark that he ghosted me.

No longer responding by email, I posted in a thread on thegearpage over 2 years ago that Larry popped up on, and i posted the date that I originally purchased the tubes,
Larry threw a temper tantrum on the forum.

Thegame emailed Larry and Larry said he was embarrassed and insulted that I posted the date that I bought them for the public to see, so now he is done with me and I don’t get the tubes.

Larry, fed up with me, agrees to send me a full refund just for the replacement set that I purchased.

Larry never sent the money.

I posted in this forum in the last couple days bringing it up again, followed by Larry hurling insults and going from zero to wishing death on me in several posts.
Larry says he sent the money, my bank did a full audit of my account and said no money was received. I have asked Larry to email me proof that he sent the money so that my bank can investigate, Larry has refused.

Here we are.

In the meantime, several of us Larry amp and former Larry amp owners have shared their bad experiences dealing with him, and are discussing what we are going to share publicly in order to prevent others from getting screwed by him.

Larry knows more about amplifier design than every builder here including myself combined. He figured out ground plane noise over 25 years ago before anyone else did. His theory was deep well before most of the books were wrote on it. I’ve got nothing but respect for the man and I don’t care about his age. If you want an amp from him either order one, buy used, or don’t. This thread seems like a psychotic attempt from some maniac to cut business from Larry and a pathetic attempt at that. Larry’s delivered his orders as stated but if his wait time is now 4 years instead of 1 year I could say I agree that’s a bit outlandish but how much of it is parts availability?

Larry has the talent and one thing many people haven’t mentioned or seen here is how much he has helped many other builders over the years with amplifier designs. He’s very good at what he does and also what he knows - you’re paying for that in his amp designs because his stuff isn’t a copy of anything - it’s his own designs.

These threads are not discussions about gear and are blights at a builder directly. If you don’t like him don’t buy from him. It’s that simple.
