Thanks!
It does also do the lower gain stuff really well. Im an asshat and I forgot to record a clip of the lower gain modes lol

Greazygeo":2b75evmq said:Hey Ralph,
Thanks for putting the clip together. The high gain stuff sounds good, like the tightness and quick attack I am hearing. A bit too "metal" sounding for me. When the gtr volume is rolled back, I didnt dig that much. It sounds like a high gain metal amp with the gain rolled back (still aggressive). I like it to go into a more AC DC crunch.
Gary told me its got some Wizard / VHT to it....so it can't be too bad.

Great clip and playing.
I really liked the sound but you cant hear everything from just a clip.
I assume the amp is not compressed and not dark as a bogner, right??
Capulin Overdrive":2b6rmsl0 said:way cool, and mucho thanks for the dry clip!
i wasn't digging some of the clips on the Fortin site, but these have restored my interest in the amp!
you rock Ralph!
redrol":2hh1fpln said:I liked certain qualities of this amp. The upper mid honk is nice, very Marshallish. Seemed to be pretty tight sounding but... my main issue is that either it was too compressed, had too much gain dialed in, or the OD is very thin. So i didn't like it too much. Reminded me of a cheap amp with a SD1 or something. Not being mean, just honest.

It has that Vibe Dave for sure!! If I had my H30 cab im sure it would have been a lot closer to the VH thing. It's like VH with a modern edge! (i think Dan said that! )
In the clip you did a chord progression that VH does kinda like in "girl gone bad". Once I heard it I though of that VH bootleg where he is in the studio and is just playing cool shit and different versions of songs for 1984 album.
The amp sounds really cool. I would love to hear it in person.
degenaro":1rsc5k4i said:Finally got around to listen to the dry clip...and I actually prefer that one to the sauce clip. The gain hang is dope, didn't dig the rolled back hang too much.
But for 2500 I'd guess it'll sell 200 units out of the gate without any doing. Not that I know anything about amp sales.
ejecta":2rijuo6k said:I thought the tone of the amp would be great for some really heavy stuff. No its not super smooth and has a bit of hair to it and for some riffs..... in a mix it sounds like it would cut like mo fo.
In all honesty its hard to tell definatively from a clip that was just done real quick. Id like to hear one in person. I think it would cover some ground with that attack and touch of hair and growl that the Bogner wont.
