Finally got around to listen to the dry clip...and I actually prefer that one to the sauce clip. The gain hang is dope, didn't dig the rolled back hang too much.
But for 2500 I'd guess it'll sell 200 units out of the gate without any doing. Not that I know anything about amp sales. :)

Ehhhhhhh Whaddaya you know about the amp biz!!!

Have I told you lately that I Loved you? :inlove: :hys:

Hey Ralph, send me that unit for eval. I'll send it back when I'm fishished checking it out.

I wish I could but I gave the amp back to Carl Roa :aww: :(

With that said, at some part in time Mike may be in your neck of the woods at a show and hopefully you can check it out!! I really think you and Ed will love this thing!

Man that tone is kickin my ass! I really think that suits your playing Ralph.. It seems more Marshally sounding than your normal Boogie tone, and i think im finding i prefer your tone when you use more Marshally sounding amps!!

You have that sick style like VH meets Lynch with a bit o Sykes thrown in for good measure!! Very inspiring!!

I know that you would love this amp for sure and thanks for the kind words. With that said When I do these clips I can see the holes in my playing due to lack of practice but the difference these days is that it makes me want to get off my ass and practice more instead of getting discouraged!!

Now..... we need to get some Dan clips up because you are a Killer player who needs to be heard and you are not an old fart like me!! :D

[After spending more time with the Bones I actually Love both the cameron and Fortin for different reasons. At this point it would just be a matter of personal preferance.
The Camerons have More Sag to them and are voiced differently. The Fortin it tighter but has a killer attack. I don't usually like tight amps but the Bones just feels right and responds lightening fast!!

Hey Ralph
Fantastic clips ! I may be wrong, but based on clips alone, the Camerons to me have a "hairier" gain structure, while the Fortin has a tighter envelope following the individual notes. But both have that ripping midrange that just screams. Am I right ?

I liked certain qualities of this amp. The upper mid honk is nice, very Marshallish. Seemed to be pretty tight sounding but... my main issue is that either it was too compressed, had too much gain dialed in, or the OD is very thin. So i didn't like it too much. Reminded me of a cheap amp with a SD1 or something. Not being mean, just honest.

Hey !

I can assure you the amp is very fat sounding in person. I think the recording just brought out a brighter quality. Also its less compressed than other amps of similar gain levels.

Wow, That was worth the wait  Those clips sound better than the one on the site, IMO, I thought it would sound different when you got yours up, and it kicks ASS! What I thought may in fact be TOO tight now sounds awesome! I'm sure Mike is revving up the production line, wonder when they will be available?? Thanks man, I know you have a lot on your plate right now, I will stop hounding you :D :D :D :D - Jim BTW, your playing was BADASS

Bro-Ralphie loves that "Sykes Quack" tone that just sizzles like a pot of boiling water - white with froth - hotter than hell - just topping the edge of the pot as you run towards the stove to turn the heat down!!
This Sykes tone is growing on me totally over the last year or so too!!

Even when I had your Wizard, Gary, I kept her pretty bright!

The nice thing about Bones tho, is that it can be set up to sound fatter than a beached whale and still have tons of clarity and tightness!!!

Incredible amp! Awesome tones!

Hope ya got lotsa parts on hand Mikey!! You gonna be busy!

Yeah I know ! I like the Sykes tone myself, but its not "my" tone or the tone I'm personally going for. You've heard me play so you know what I'm going for   Only something as unholy as the Natas will do for me

P.S Any word on the Sylvanias ?

Hey Ralph,

Thanks for putting the clip together. The high gain stuff sounds good, like the tightness and quick attack I am hearing. A bit too "metal" sounding for me. When the gtr volume is rolled back, I didnt dig that much. It sounds like a high gain metal amp with the gain rolled back (still aggressive). I like it to go into a more AC DC crunch.

Gary told me its got some Wizard / VHT to it....so it can't be too bad. :)

Hey George

This amp will get that AC/DC crunchy chirp when you put the voicing switch in a lower mode. The switch is not footswitchable stock, but can be ordered to be.

As for the Wizard/VHT comparison; its VHT like in the articulation/definition but the tone is Marshall all the way. Its perfect for guys who like the articulation/fast responce of VHTs but find them too dry and the tone not full enough. This amp is pretty different than a Wizard. The upcoming Natas amp will have slightly deemphasized mids compared to this, and that is how I view the Wizards compared to a stock Marshall. Wizard is a more full spectrum tone compared to a typical honky old Marshall. Its hard to put into words but that was the comparison I was trying to make before :)

Man some of you guys are Crazy!

That tone is fucking straight up BADASS!

Man I've been on the hook for a while trying to figure out if I want the Diezel Herbert back, but having talked to Mike for the better part of the last week, my mind is 100% made up, so I'm up for the Meathead AND the Natas when they are avialable! Thanks to Gary (thegame) as well, If I hadn't contacted him again I wouldn't really have thought about these amps only because I need something with more options on tap than the Bones, however after this clip, I might just have to get all three!

Mike I can't thank you enough for all the info you've given me this week on your gear and I look forward to a fuckin stellar sounding year coming up!

Meathead Here I come!

Oh George.
You would love this thing I'm absolutely sure of it! It has all the tightness of the Wizard and more gain but more "full" sounding while retaining that VERY FAST attack!!
Great amp, when more people play 'em, Mike will be a very busy guy!!

Keith

Yeah Keith, I'll hear one one of these days :) Still lovin my Wizards...Metal is #1 MC is #2. I'll be adding some more amps this year once my studio gets finished. Working on my list now....

Hey Gary

I know what you are saying with the old Marshall thing. With a ton of mods they can be cool, but stock they leave alot to be desired for me. The Wizard stuff has that big full bandwidth sound I like, with the AC DC type voice which is perfect for me to work with. When using my 7 string it's not the best for the lower notes though. Not looking for a "metal" tone, just something with the voicing I have, but will handle the lower range notes.... :)

great playing clip Ralph and thx for sharing! a bit on the "metal" side for sound for my taste, but it sounds like you can do lots of tweaking as i read the previous posts. I can definitely hear the tightness vs. sag. I'm torn between those two, cause i like the tightness for rhythms and the sag for leads. i kinda agree with Eddie D on the hand tone/EQ thing too....;)
