I recently scored an MCII KT150....absolute tremendous thump, punch and clarity in an amp that already has that in spades. I can see why guys love the big bottles in their Wizards.I definitely don’t need it, but look at the size of those milk jugs!

A KT150 MCII is a bucket list amp for me. I bet it's killer.
It is absolutely a keeper.
It's just a quad of KT120's. It would cost only a little more than retubing a triple recto with a sextet of 6L6's or EL34's. I thought about getting the KT200 version, but Rick steered me toward the KT150. I prefer KT88's to KT120s anyway, but if he really optimized the transformers and everything for KT120's in the 200 version maybe I would've liked it even more than the 150

A KT200 Wizard (of any type) I can imagine being insane.
Also, while I have not played the HR yet, it seems like you can all varieties of gain out of that thing....not just the modern sort.
Haha Rick is a man of very few words. He just literally said stick with the KT150 version and showed me a pic of the guitarist in Judas Priest with KT150 Wizard's. Honestly it wasn't at all a satisfactory response of him, but figured what the hell, he's not gonna say much more and just went with it, but I am curious how the KT200 would be. It really could possibly be even better from what I understand if the transformers and stuff are tuned right for it and if the plate voltage is even higher than my KT150 (680)
I played a kt150 mtl. It was literally God like punch. That said, i like 6l6 and would probably go that route
