Thanks for input guys!

I tried Chinese in V1 and Sovtek in V2. GnR (ERC :lol: :LOL: ) sounds grrreat!!! :rock: Thanks Jeff!

I think that "SL3" may not be a "sexy" name, but it fits right in with the current naming patterns.
* EG3/4, EG5
* SL, SL2, SL3

Lots of great suggestions. Keep 'em coming. I think Jeff wants to name it SHM unless we can come up with something better. SL3 does make a lot of sense though. Maybe Egnater should start using "MK" numbers for upgrades like Mesa, or just lose track like Marshall did and just pick a random number out of a bowl (1959) for a 1969 Super Lead 100 for example! Confuse 'em!

Hmm. GMAT?

Wait, isn't that a test or something? Anyway...

If you want to keep the idea it's a SL2 modded,SL2X would fit...nothing fancy but ok. SL2X

OK, little confused. Some of you are saying the SL2 is smoother and at least one person said the GnR is smoother. One of you said to get the SL2 to sound more like the GnR, you had to scoop the mids to 9:30!? I am not a fan of scooped sounds. To me, more mids makes an amp easier to play and smoother makes it easier to play.

Wish I could hear them side by side or play one. Are there vids or audio I could hear of a comparison?

I am not a fan of the EG5. How close is it to that one?

Rich - if you don't like the EG5, you're probably not gonna love the SL2X.

(SL2X = former GNR)

The SL2X has a tighter bottom and an upper midrange peak to it, compared to the regular SL2. Almost like an SL2 doing it's best EG5 impression, if that makes any sense.

As good as the SL2X is, it's NOT for everyone. If you prefer darker and smoother, stick with the regular SL2, EG3/4, etc.
