Fucking Legend.

🤟 :ROFLMAO:

I believe his personal life screwed up his professional life and visa versa. Humans don’t do well when they are “idolized” ala (MJ, Elvis, Madonna, LeBron). Heads gets big and they believe they can do and say anything. Never fails. I don’t dispute at all that Dark side of the Moon and The Wall are killer fucking albums BUT what if Gilmour never entered Pink Floyd? Would they even be close to what they are known for?

Idk man I saw an Ummagumma era rehearsal video and it seems as if Roger was directing the music and calling the shots where as everyone else was just following his orders/vision. I think Roger had a lot to do with the overall sound.

Roger could write some decent shit but Gilmour and Rick Wright were the talent and sound of Pink Floyd.
While I agree, I can’t stand RW,
his bass lines are fucking amazing.
Bouncy, fat grooves, incredible time signatures with herds of grease.
You ever solo over his bass lines?
It’s awesome!!!
And those keys.. man they really add depth & technicolor for Gilmour to get deep.

*DUDES!!, LISTEN to that fucking wind up after that smoky’ saxophone solo!!!!!!!
FUCK ME ON THE MONEY!!!!

Feels like the kinda thing Yngwie would do. Re-record old albums with him on everything out of spite.

i could totally see Roger doing a couple yingwe spin kicks and guitar flips after getting that perfect take in the control room while motherfucking his former band mates. "take that you sons of bitches!!! HIYAH"

A lot of time aging stars cannot leave their legacy alone. This would be like Paul McCartney re-recording Sgt Pepper. He is smart enough to never do it. Don't mess with greatness and let it stand the test of time by itself.

Imo roger was pink floyd. He is crazy as fuck but I understand him being bitter. He wrote all that shit and it was basically stolen from him. I love David's lead work but without those songs no one would have every heard of him.

That being said: recording the album again is retarded.

I would say Gilmour’s emotive playing has touched and meant as much to as many people (even non-players) that feel they were moved by the lyrics or music that Waters wrote. This level of ugliness is a real shame because Waters is a great lyricist and song writer. Momentary Lapse of Reason isn’t exactly a bad record either.
MLoR is good, but I thought Division Bell was stellar; I'm probably in the minority, but meh.
