Show me what you’re building

You didn't specify it had to be a guitar, so I'm building a vegetable garden. I mean, I guess I could put one of my pickups in it and throw a few strings on it if this is an exclusively guitar thread?
I’d trade some guitars time for some activity around waterfront property

Didn’t like the vintage spaces trem. The strings ride too close to the fret edges. I bought a nickel kluson vintage narrow to bring the string in some. Got it aged and installed. Also remembered o can’t stand the proximity of the volume pot, so got an undrilled pick guard and made some room. Lastly the pickup to bridge spacing is Fender spec 15mm vs non fender 10mm, so put it a JB to add more high mids

Here is my last personal amp build...........HG Jose. I am about to start populating the circuit board. Amp is a 1984 JCM800 2204 with original transformers, I got this off the original owner who I was in band with years ago. The turret boards were built by me. Amp will have depth mod, NFB control up to 150K, selectable clipping 20V-5V, elevated heaters, Metro Effects loop, solo control and two switchable gain levels LG to HG.

Nice work. What color is that? Where did you get your paint? Shot with a gun or rattle can? Paint geeks want to know 😏
Thanks. It's Tropical Glitz south beach Blue. I sprayed the basecoat with their rattle can. Then shot blue metal flake over the base with my flake gun and then followed that with SPI urethane clear using my clear gun which is a Sata RP.

Decided to upgrade my elcheapo Tiger. LTD Body, Butala Custom neck, Floyd Rose 1984, Godwood p/u. Really turned out well and plays great.

Nice, I just re-shot a Tele with their Cosmic Purple and got some of their Cosmic Blue for another project

Still needs setup but initial assembly done. I had to route a channel underneath the bridge because they didn’t allow for a ground wire. You don’t need a ground wire with a regular Tele bridge because the Tele bridge pickup has a grounded baseplate underneath and the screws provide a connection. But here you need a ground wire.

I waffled between black rings/switchtip and cream. The stock bridge ring is too tall and has to be sanded down to the perfect height so once I get that height right I don’t want to mess with it after. I had already sanded down the black.
7 pounds even.

Here's something I'm apparently destroying.

I was replacing the nut in this Roasted Maple/Rosewood neck and when I gently tapped it out...a bunch of wood behind the nut (that didn't even have glue on it or anything), shattered like glass. Little pieces everywhere. It still functions fine but I hate the eyesore even tho most would never notice. So...I'm gonna do a Floyd Rose nut conversion on this neck. It's an expensive band aid.

And I have this slightly heavy SSS Strat homebrew that I never play because I rarely play SSS Strats and I have two.

So I'm going to try to do a recessed Gotoh 1996T and a humbucker in the bridge. That's a lot of routing and I'm pretty inexperienced.

I may end up with a bunch of firewood....probably toxic (nitro)...firewood.
First step, swap necks on the guitar with the neck to be modded with the Maple one above. Plays great despite having jumbo frets. I like the tall/thin medium jumbos the most.
Did a little work under the pickguard while I was there.

Finally finished up with a couple of tweaks and threw it in the headbox for pics on top of a recently acquired $400 1960A G12T75's to match my old 1960B with the black grillcloth.

When I bought this Amp, the knuckle draggers that owned it before me buggered up the Impedance Selector.. It always bothered me.
I finally changed it. Had to lift the Board, but my Uncle is a TV Repairman and has an awesome set of Tools..
