I don't use alot of gain in my tones.

Orecense and treble increase gives the perception of more gain without making it muddy. Obviously the balance is found so its not harsh up top.

You can claim it's loose all day dude. I've had 6.... they all did the tight metal without a boost thing very well when dialed right to me and my guitars.

So you're trying to convince someone who has seen the light, that the light doesn't exist.

I think you need to climb on out from under that boulder my brother. It's time. Free yourself. 🫡🤝

I'm not saying the only way you can get good and aggressive tone from a Recto is to boost it, I'm just saying that turning the Bass down does not tighten it.

I agree with you that messing with the highs and presence can go a long way toward sounding more aggressive though. I do that trick on my MC2 a lot, works really well there. If I want to give the sound more scorch, I tend to turn up the presence, not the gain most of the time.

Its a step in the right direction. With resonance being usually power section you can clean up the preamp section with lower bass and thicken it back up in the power section. Precense has to balance that or it loses definition in the lows so as one is adjusted the others need to be adjusted to suit. A rectifier and a few other amps are integrating because it takes some really whacky combinations using the entire broad idea of what the amp is doing on the tone controls where at in the tone stack.... man i swear once you see that happening in real time and understand it then the amp becomes something else and you can manipulate it to do exactly what you thought it couldn't.

Its just been my experience.

Which is limited to 2 Tremoverb heads, A 3 channel triple, a Roadster, and 2 rev G treadplate duals.

I prefer the triple crown 100 to them all including the mark iv so.... theres that 👑👑👑

In the end, a band/engineer can get a good recorded tone out of anything. Crate. Gorilla. Yep I said it.
When I was going to school for Digital Audio Recording, ProTools, there was a "faux" mastering button? Cant remember what it was called...

After setting levels, recording and mixing best of your ability, you could hit this button, almost like fake mastering.
Made everything sound great!

We had great mics, monitors...never knew what sort of amp a student was going to bring in?

A lot of insider information at 2:55. Sorry if this is all known info, but the release is confirmed NAMM

Wait, you’re telling me Gibson is led by such tantrum throwing crybabies that they cut Fluff off for the supreme sin of “talking about Randall’s departure” even though he’s probably the most ~*~influential~*~ self proclaimed Recto nut on youtube, right before the launch of the first new flagship Recto SKU in a decade and a half?

I can’t believe the same people who demanded that THEY AND ONLY THEY got to show off the IIC+ RI way before anybody else, despite knowing absolutely nothing about the amp, would also shoot themselves in the dick a second time.

I’m shocked.

You beat me to it. A lack of accountability of epic proportions.

:poop: show

cut off the guy that's been your fanboy for a decade, lol. Well done Gibson.

I do remember a long time ago watching one of Fluff's videos where he talked about his Les Paul's NOT holding their tuning very well.
Maybe this is revenge for that. I think he was saying how he didn't use them for shows too often due to their poor stability. hahaha

ahh, good point. He wasn't a "Gibson" fanboi, maybe that was the problem.

How about if he bought the latest Mesa amps with his own money and then reviewed them? I’d be more impressed with that course of action.

considering how much of a self proclaimed recto fan he is, I assume he's going to buy a RI, even if it's for content alone. We'll see though, he might be a bit salty

Wow. Well I'm stoked the trailer dropped, and it seems like their Marketing department still hasn't learned much, or learned how to mic up for metal, although Dinesh allllmost got a chug out of it!

I felt so stupid buying my first Mesa and not knowing how to dial it in… imagine buying the whole company.
