Paging @killertone have you got any initial thoughts about a hypothetical new amp that may or may not be in your possession?
Don't have it yet...but UPS does. Should be here in a few days.Paging @killertone have you got any initial thoughts about a hypothetical new amp that may or may not be in your possession?
Yep, that clip sounded like raspy shit....similar to the last 3 ch Recto I tried out years ago.Wow. Well I'm stoked the trailer dropped, and it seems like their Marketing department still hasn't learned much, or learned how to mic up for metal, although Dinesh allllmost got a chug out of it!

I felt so stupid buying my first Mesa and not knowing how to dial it in… imagine buying the whole company.

Not good.

Should say something questionable about Gibson/Mesa and see if that truck gets re-directed..Don't have it yet...but UPS does. Should be here in a few days.
A lot of insider information at 2:55. Sorry if this is all known info, but the release is confirmed NAMM
You... you're actually giving the first ounce of credibility to Gibson being able to represent what the amp sounds like?
They mic'd it with a Royer 121. As of right now we have no clue - none whatsoever - about how this amp compares to other Rectos in a scenario actual humans would use it in. It may as well have been recorded with a cell phone in a bathroom.
Same as the IIC+ reissue, we won't know more about how it compares until it is literally directly compared with another 2-channel Recto in a single clip with all other variables remove by someone who knows what they're doing.
What’s wrong with a 121?You... you're actually giving the first ounce of credibility to Gibson being able to represent what the amp sounds like?

He’s meaning by itself as opposed to being mixed in with a dynamic. What’s wrong with a 121?
121 works fine by itself for me.He’s meaning by itself as opposed to being mixed in with a dynamic.
Just sounds like a room recording.@Greazygeo A Royer 121 supporting a 57, mixed way, way quieter than the 57 can sound great.
That doesn’t sound like what’s happening in the demo at all.
I guess he's not popular these days, but I have an FJA modded multi-watt TRec that I absolutely love. Bought it new, and sent it to Jerry. Had him modify the red to more my taste, and some other stuff I can't remember now. Would send it again in a heartbeat. Will be sold at the estate auction my ex wife will undoubtably preside over.
Well said. I couldn’t imagine having to say “all thoughts and opinions are my own. Company X doesn’t even get to see this video before it gets uploaded.”Oh no, a poor shill has discovered you don’t work WITH a corporation. You are an asset to be controlled and expunged when not performing to expected “standards”.
These guys sell their soul but then get surprised when the new owner gets upset when they try and use it against them.
Hey don’t get me wrong. I actually have no beef with these guys making a buck and getting sponsored etc. But they need to realize they’ve chosen a lane that they don’t control the on and off ramps for.
