Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

Of course.

My statement was hyperbole and stated as an opinion.

The thought isn't drawn from that one video but rather from every single video posted of the amp so far. I know I replied to you, as you posted the video, but I was expressing my feeling in general.

I am a Recto lover and would love for this to bring the best of the old models to an off the shelf model.

I am disappointed in what I am hearing in the videos so much that I don't even have a desire to try one.
The price alone kills my curiosity. You can get an actual F and have it serviced for the cost of the RI.

In the last six months I’ve found two F’s for two of my friends, one here for $2600, and while visiting my buddy in Long Beach another for $1800. Both KILLERS 🤘🏻
Are those the ones listed on reverb for $7K? 🤣

...J/K, any tips for a successful hunt?

Might have got it from someone in the industry for less than he's selling it for
If Boogies are still a C mark, the dealer cost of one is probably around $2450. Common for dealer employees to get gear at cost plus 10%. So the sale price of 2899 would cover that and a little more, if that had been the original deal. Or maybe the seller doesn’t want to burn a bridge with a source with a return. Seems like they got the amp to do a capture/profile and now don’t need it anymore.

If it still hasn’t been snagged yet, that says a lot about the street demand for this amp.

Yeah GC STILL has them in stock. I have a feeling they got the amp right, and got the retail price wrong.
I've said multiple times if they priced these at ($2,799 whihc was the final Multiwatt price) or even $2,499 (since we're getting less features) that they would sell a ton. I can see the IIC+ rationalization for that price point even though I still think that is high. But for the Dual Rectifier even with that aesthetic and slight tonal shift from the 3 channel models, it's still a crazy price point.

I feel the same way. If it was a 1000 lower they would sell tons of these. I would love to have a new version of my old beat up rev-g. Especially with a better loop, but i cant justify the price when i can source a MW dual for less than half of that. I gave $1200 for mine like a year ago or less, and even your old tremoverb, i paid like 16-1700 i think. Honestly shoulda hung on to that one lol.

That Tverb was a great one! I have a line on a Tverb head as well as a minty combo a friend has, probably could get them close to a grand. Also know a guy selling a brand new Triple MW for $1600. As much as I want a RI, damn, I'll wait for the used market. That said, I'm hearing really good things from guys that have them!

The used market will lose its shit for a short while. People thinking they can cash in big on the price of this reissue. I did see some older 3 channels on GC for under 1500 (but quite a few a fair bit more) but I’m sure on Reverb people will try and get a lot more than that.
