I omitted all the switching, FX loop, and the clean channel.

It's just teh overdrive channel pre-amp section of the SLO, running thru my JCM-800 in a passive loop.
Well again, it does sound like the SLO.

The FX loop was always NEVER an EFX loop in the real meaning of one and the clean channel is overly compressed as all get out. In a recording you could use the clean channel, I never did, live? just an awful amp but RELIABLE.

Most over-rated amp ever and yes, I still have mine. I will sell it and the only reason I haven't is I've never gotten around to it. I've had it since at least 1997. I'd use a Fender twin with a pedal live before I'd use my SLO.....................if forced of course.

you spelled Tele wrong.

well it does set off the shade of mauve you selected for your strandberg.

:aww:
It wasn’t my first choice lol
But it was several hundred dollars less than other 8 strings, plus it was an older Indo model

I gravitate towards high gloss white or black, for colors I seem to have more blue guitars because purple isn't an option. I have one guitar in Ferrari red and my Rics are mostly Fireglo (I have a blue burst) because it just seems like the classic Ric finish to me.

I like black, plain-stained and honey or tobacco sunburst.

If I'm not gonna see the wood it has to be black.

yeh, not big into wood grain / transparent finishes...reminds me of dining room furniture. But I make exceptions for Rics.

I may do a NGD on a blue transparent finish guitar I had delivered today, still in the box acclimating. They make a high gloss white model which was my first choice, but it's hardtail only, already have a white hardtail Steinberger, Jackson Rhoads Concorde with trem, and Warrior with FR, and a Marr Jag.

How did I know that was coming?

I hear ya bro'; wood finishes aren't for everyone.

I'm just a sucker for wood and the way it looks, behaves and smells, be it furniture, toys, instruments, a car(!)... anything.

i'm the opposite, high tech, titanium, aluminum, carbon fiber. richlite, etc. why I got my Gittler. There's a headless Koloss guitar, chambered aluminum body, composite / carbon fiber neck and fretboard I want, but can't find the high gloss white or natural aluminum:

edit: there's one on Reverb, used, but it has cracks in the fretboard that don't look good...why I want a new one with warranty and return policy.
