Sounds great!

I will likely never spend $3,200 on a guitar amp but others will so who cares what it's price point is. ;)

Sorry, there is no need to pay that much for a Marshall clone. I'm sure the components are top notch, but there are dozens of other amps that can do the same thing at a fraction of the cost. I'm not a walmart buyer by any means, but I just don't see any reason to buy this amp.

Then don't buy it.

But, damn, why talk shit about something? Handwired in the USA is an immediate $3K price tag. It is what it is.....and on par with his pricy guitars. However, you will get a quality amp that is dead quiet and will sound great. At this price, I don't think it is particularly attractive either in this market. But, it will have something unique about it.

SE will mean this is incorporating the Aldrich lead circuit that John, Bradshaw and Martin came up with a couple decades ago and from which the CAE preamp was modeled after, Cameron's Aldrich mod and the few Aldrich mods that John has out there. If it is a tone you like, then a person may pay up for it. Or, if you can nail this tone with your JMP and a Tube Screamer, cool too!

I thought it sounded just fine, at least through computer monitors. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to do business w/ Suhr -- he seems like a solid dude.

Only thing I am not sure about is how that amp cleans up on rolloff; it sounds a bit thin whereas I like to maintain thick and chimey on the guitar volume rolloff.
Would have to hear it live. Overdriven tones sound great to me.

Not talking shit about, just trying to make sense of it. Can not compute! Can not compute!

Isn't it just the od channel from the SE+?

Probably close to it.....but handwired and without the other 2 channels and switching components, shared EQ to get in the way.

Not sure where the $3200 price tag came from? Suhr USE to charge that for his SL68, but prices from 2011 to 2012 went up on that amp to the same price as this one is showing.. and that is a LARGE price increase that is not justified by any increase in parts alone whether it be the iron or combined parts. I bounced this off of one of my friends who does this for a living and even he thought it was rather large. Combine the components increase with any COL adjustment (which none of us are or have been receiving) and it still does not add up especially considering the large number of products they produce. Interesting to note that that time period was around the time period they were making a move. I was one considering the purchase of his SL68 until after that price increase went into affect. Now, I have no interest. These comments are posted irrespective of the quality of his work which I know is good.

Maybe it is 4k but it comes with a Suhr coupon to start

I liked the demo even though they could have brought the gain up to 5 or 6 though. I had a CAE SE head and it was very cool. I wish I still had it some days.

Keep in mind that the amp has already undergone some changes .... There's a GREAT PPIMV added and John's AWESOME Solid State Effects Loop too .... Just sayin' ....

Music Zoo is selling the SH-100 for $3995 on ebay

Edited...

Here is where I'm gonna get flamed.... I love damn near every Suhr product I've tried. That said for this kind of tone the best I have ever heard was fellow forumite ratter's Marshall 1959HW plexi reissue cranked through a hotplate. Those amps caught a lot of flack here and HC. I never understood why. I'm confident this Suhr amp is really sweet but if thats the tone I'm chasing I'll stick with a Marshall thank you very much.

Doesn't sound awful; but there's also nothing unique about it.

The market is overly saturated (no pun intended here) with single channel, high gain amps already. Price is reasonable given that it is crafted in the U.S.

Still not worth $3,200 in my opinion.

I own many Suhr products, and have total respect for John and company. This thing is not what I would call High Gain at all, and the neck pickup tones were muddy as hell on that video. I would like to try it in person, but seems waaaaaaaaayyyy too pricey for what it is. I am sure it will appeal to some folks, and no doubt it is built well.

In the end, a lot of these amps are like Randall MTS modules. So many cover the same tonal spectrum and people blow their loads over the faceplate. There are much cheaper alternatives that do the same thing.
