Don't mess with Yngwie, or he'll RELEASE THE F'ING FURY! He would likely play notes all over you so fast that you would explode

My Blue one is being held up by customs. They say they need a Lacey Act form to be filled out ?‍♂️?‍♂️?

I've been looking at the new custom shop sig version. Kinda expensive, but I've always loved YJM and wanted one of his sigs. Has anyone played one of these? Are they worth anywhere near the $5,500 asking price?

I've been wondering the same thing lol. I have quite a few of the production models as you can see. Most can be had for around $800-1200 USD in the used market.

I'm finding it very hard to believe that the CS models will offer $4,000+ in "higher quality" than what you can get every day. This is subjective of course, if you're a millionaire(I'm definitely not) then the quality increase may be worth it.

If you like the features of the new CS, then look for an ST68-185YM, it's based off the 68-69's just like the CS is.

That said, I've never seen a CS YJM in person, so I could be completely wrong. I also talk to a few guys regularly that have several YJM's and I haven't found a single person with a CS YJM ?‍♂️

Found a Pearl Yellow White! Of course shipping is delayed due to Covid ?‍♂️

I have a problem keeping this guitar in tune. I have put many different types of grease and oil on the nut, string tree, and saddles and it only improve the tuning stability just a little bit. Any one have similar issue? How do you keep this guitar in tune? I have another Fender custom shop with the vintage tremolo and that guitar stay in tune really good and with minimal effort from me.

I float my bridges, oil contact points etc and they stay in tune great. My blue one is tuned to drop C# and it's solid. What strings do you use?

Just picked up another Yngwie strat. Plenty of time to get the shred on! They are fun to play. Yngwie's posts online have been great.

Definitely agree man, I haven't learned much new stuff, but have been focusing on speed/articulation. Definitely better since this all started, even though I'm "essential" lol

This one finally arrived all the way from Japan. Took a month and a half! Shipped on April 4th, just arrived today.

The Steeler and Black Alcatraz use to be here in Brazil an I played both long time ago.
The black one has the Malmsteen bite on it which was funny.

That's awesome! Any pics or video?

Did a quick comparison video of HS-3's. The ones on my latest guitar sound much more bright, whereas others sound more crunchy

Nope, it was long time ago. A friend of mine ended up his entire collection.
He use to have a lot of cool stuff.

Finally got around to making a comparison video of the US YJM strats. No playing, just the guitars themselves

Wow, amazing thread! Just saw it today. Incidentally, I just received my 2013 USA model yesterday. I am so happy with it. Here is a photo:

Awesome! You're not going to be able to put it down!

For another data point, I have a November 1988 YJM. The neck starts out pretty thin at about .820 at first fret but it's got a heavy taper and is getting close to a full inch around 8th fret and reech a full inch at the 12th.
Love that guitar to bits!
