I’m surprised the pub is still there. It was Brian’s idea to have a place to just hang out and talk about non gear things.
Once he stepped down I was sure it would disappear but I reckon there are a lot of supporting members there that do the majority, if not all of their posting in the pub

Which I'll admit I mainly did. I liked looking at someone's new guitar or amp because it was gear after all, but even just discussing gear that could be done in the Pub too.

One weird thing I started to notice, is that oddly, it seemed like the people with the broadest taste in and knowledge of music, and a lot of the more serious musicians, tended to frequent the Pub and the Farce thread in particular

Whereas, in (say) the SHL, at least half the guys in there apparently only listen to pre-1985 major-label guitar rock and seem to pride themselves in not uh, being engaged in the creative side of music very much

Basically, anyone with a bit of humour and banter about them is fucked as some boring cunt with no likes for their boring, no twat gives a fuck posts will harbour a grievance against them. Anyone know what happened to Tom T? My overall memory of him was correcting people and complaining…was there another side?
