Oh I can also see - according to Mike's preference - mix of 2 EL34 and 2 6L6 - that's a cool feature with the power tube mixability.

I think it is 2 6550s and 2 EL34s if I am not mistaken...that is what my Hulk mod has. A very killer combo fo sho.

That IS a killer combo. That would be the dual bias mod. I've got that in my Cali. You can play for hours at band levels and the amp retains clarity. Other amps I've had loaded with all EL-34's tend to get really mushy and lose definition after a few hours. Sometimes my band will do two full sets and the amp will destroy all the way 'till the end and beg for more. I have such a mancrush on Mike Fortin.

$5,000 - and a somewhat large wait due to the pure complexity.

Talked to Mike today. Great guy as you all know. The other Meathead is going to my friend Ron and he will probably have it a week from Friday or the following week. I am very much looking forward to trying that beast. It has so much stuff going on inside and I have no doubt it all works. Can't wait for that "come on down"call.

Man this thing is off the chain... What's the breakdown on this amp? I went to Fortians web site and it just give a baisc run down of what it can do. Can someone give a little better detail? Effects loop, does each channel have it own circut stuff like that.
