This is the 3rd vintage Kramer that I’ve owned and they all suffer from the nut threads bottoming out, caused by wood compression. By the time the threads of the rod reach the inner most end of the nut, there’s still too much relief in the neck
Well, no fear. You just need to add some washers onto the end of the truss to give you a few more millimeters of play allowing the truss to do it’s work.
1 Simply remove the nut counter clockwise.
2. While you have the nut in hand, lube the threads
3. Add a few 5mm inner diameter truss washers. Most use the same Fender type. These pretty much drop into place without too much help.
4. Insert lubed nut back and adjust accordingly.
