sounds just like it did it in the 80's ...... unless you're doing Boston covers ...... meh

the re-issue bug has hit again .....

I will say .... it looks cool ... they did a good job there

No thanks. Is this creation w/ the Scholz blessing or no cuz he's the only one that has the schematics.

I had 4 of those mini rack units and I ran them into a fender super 60. I gigged that shit for two years about three times a week at least. Gave them away like a fool. I was fuckin killing it back then boys. 70’s blue metal flake les Paul deluxe…running into that setup….. did everything with it. Metal, rock and country, bluegrass and gospel…. Drunk ass methed out hillbillies around here loved us….

MXR have the rights to rockman and have the devices listed on their site. I’d anticipate they used the schematics from those…

Then that would be the "Guitar Ace" circuit which is not the X-100.
The guitar ace version IMO is pretty crappy.
No way getting these boards / circuits in that size pedal.
You're not getting the TI op amps or Reticon chips either where the majic happens.
But hey most folks too dumb to know.
The real Rockman's have a unique +6 / -6 DC power system plus 8 AA battery operation.
ah the good ole days gone forever.

I understand what you’re saying, although not sure the ‘dumb’ comment is needed. Maybe some people just need educating about the differences.

I'm of the mind that if anyone has the mind to do it right, it's Jorge Tripps. A lot can be accomplished with SMD. So until that bald dude every one loves does a tear down and reveals the circuit....we don't know.

🤷🏻‍♂️

The original Rockman X100 are at least $400 used, usually more.

You can get that sound, and more, much cheaper with an ART SGX-2000. I had one purchased new when they first came out, also had the SGX-Nightbass; I had to take the train from New Haven down to Manny's in NYC to get it, they were the only ones who had them in stock IIRC. Very noisy, and a PITA to program, and sounded very processed - did not replace my ADA preamps.

If i were 30 years younger i might say "maybe" but at this point abandon ye all hope who enter here.
I find the "internet generation" about 75% more dense than the JFK Boomers.
E Musk's rockets blow up paid for by US Taxpayers. Sounds like a "sound" investment strategy.
