That's an interesting question about Golan. You could argue no, becuase it was captured during an act of agression, but on the other hand, go back to the question of the founding of Israel.

Quite often, might makes reality. Whether we like with it or not is another issue.

For 2,000 years, Jews were hounded, hunted, and slaughtered. World War 2 happened and during that war millions of Jews were slaughtered just for existing.

NEVER AGAIN.

The massacre, together with that of Jews in Safed, sent shock waves through Jewish communities in Palestine and around the world. It led to the re-organization and development of the Jewish paramilitary organization, the Haganah, which later became the nucleus of the Israel Defense Forces.[6]

Why? Israel attacked the region many times.

Actually they just did without any care about children, women and elderly.

Israel is learning the hard way that appeasement doesn't work.

The only way to end this conflict is overwhelming victory for one side, and complete destruction of the other.
