Evidence that they’re using hospitals, mosques and schools as command centers.

rsm's quote said:

"Hamas targeted unarmed civilians; they were not collateral damage. That's the key difference. It wasn't like Hamas attacked an Israeli military base and killed civilians. Israel attacks Hamas who happen to be using residential apartments, schools, hospitals full of unarmed civilians to hide.

That's what I commented on. rsm made no mention of command centers, nor did I.

The idea that someone believes Israel would attack non-military targets with a goal to kill civilians says enough for me. What's the point of a conversation at that point? It's like attempting to negotiate with Hamas.

You're right, rsm. You've made some excellent points in this thread. Thank you.

When you boil it down, @denialist is in fact saying "Why don't the Jews just let themselves be killed?"

NEVER AGAIN MEANS NEVER AGAIN.

First, I'm not sure that's true. Scott Ritter thinks it was a legitimate and well executed military attack. Israel hasn't released the breakdown of civ/mil deaths either, and now they're reducing casualty figures. Wonder why. Then there's the issue of friendly fire casualties.

Israel's argument is that everything they attack is full of Hamas. I'm not sure that's true, where's the evidence for it? They are in fact killing a whole lot of civilians, regardless what they say — "Oops, sorrrry, didn't mean to." They committed a war crime by trying to displace 1.5M people in N Gaza. They are apparently too pussy to just invade and do it the right way. Finally, RSM is arguing that it's okay to kill civilians (Just like Bin Laden did), because the civilians support Hamas.

Hamas FAFO, Palestinians get the results.
Scott Ritter thinks they're operating by a different playbook. It's asymmetric, guerilla warfare. Palestine might be losing in death count, but Israel is losing in world opinion. His perspective strikes me as more plausible than yours.

world opinion? you mean like the wisdom of crowds, aka mob justice?

world opinion means nothing if your country and people are annihilated.
