What an insightful thread. I thought I got your point from all your other hate threads, but now i'm REALLY starting to understand you. If you could just make one more I think all the pieces will come together so we can finally see the whole picture.

I think what Brad is trying to do is make the best of this bad situation. He's the ONLY way some of the people sent in money will ever see materialization for it. If things go as planned, he's also effectively preventing Cameron from ripping anyone else off in the same manner. I agree with you that he doesn't deserve another chance, but the fact remains: as Jim put it, those that sent in money and amps rolled the dice and lost.

As I stated on that other thread, sue him in small claims court for breach of contract or fraud. You have four years from the time you made your payment. You can do this at LA County online (I've done it myself regarding a hit and run on one of my cars), and he's in LA County. You just need his address to send the paperwork, or the document serving service to.

What Brad is doing is totally different from what Mark did to clients (through past partners, Jerry Dyer, etc) directly. He's trying to bring a product that many want to buy to market. He faces significant hurdles, and frankly he'll need lots of help/luck, from what I know of the situation (and I probably know more than most).

I feel for the previous buyers/people waiting on mods/amps, and those of you who put deposits down on amps. But the facts are that this delivery/completion/shipping issue has been going on (from my limited knowledge of past dealings) for going on 3-4 years. A little due diligence was likely in order to prevent buyers from drinking the Cameron Kool Aid, and sending money to Mark (however he got it), then hoping he'd changed his ways. As I said before, you rolled the dice.

At this point, frankly, I doubt Mark will make good on any of the amps/mods/etc he promised unless Brad can somehow help and leverage some action with this new deal. Supporting Brad in his efforts probably is the only way it can/will get done, cuz I doubt seriously that after the posts some have said Mark made here, plus his actions of non delivery, etc. that anyone will send him $$ or try to help out again.

The way I see it, if Brad doesn't get this done, it's probably over. So I advise those of you who have sent money in the past four years to file a small claims case against Mark Cameron. Bitching about it on an online forum isn't going to get it done, IMO.

What most people are missing is this, If this Barrang deal goes, amps will be produced. Just give it a chance to go. Stop shitting on it. The people who have money in arent even here shitting on it they know that if a legit production co gets going on it amps will come out. Chill, sheeesh ... IMO, Brad should reconsider his involvement with the name Cameron Amplification. If he can purchase the company, and can re-brand the circuit designs as say "Brad Amplification" - then by all means do so. Why anyone would want to give Mark "Bernie Madoff" Cameron any positive publicity makes no sense whatsoever? Sure, I understand that there's a profit to be made here; and being the (non-Calif resident) capitalist that I am - I say do it! If Brad is going to put his hard-earned $ into this - why give any props to MC? If the agreement means that Brad MUST use the Cameron name - then I say forget it!

If someone says "hey I got a Cameron amp" the first thing that pops into most people's mind is "OMG I have to hear it!" not "OMG he is a poor businessman!". IMHO the name has to go with the amp. I agree Mark does not have a good reputation as a businessman but as far as an amp builder/moder he is most def in one of top few spots. If Brad were to rebrand the amp it would not sell as good, IMHO. It would take time for the new name to build it's reputation.

Good or bad businessman you have to give Mark props for building/designing great sounding amps.
