The new amps will be superiorior in sound, parts, stability and the overall design will be more efficient. The design of the main board will be slightly changed to allow for the loop and to make the amp more stable and quieter. We are going to use better filters, caps and pots and those will make a huge difference in the sound quality.

Nice sales pitch.

"Selling" Marks amp has never been the problem, more like getting them made.

Its PT8. Problem is more computer related though and the USB2.0 interface. Problem solved with a new Macbook Pro inbound. Had enough AMEX points to get a freebie on points. The one I was trying to use is Mac Airbook, which is not exactly what needs to be used. I can manuever around PT OK I think. Got some levels and padding to work out though. Will let you know if I need anything.

I think that HG jose Marshall plexi ri that King Guitar had in the classifieds sounded awesome, and to me , even better then the ccv. I was thinking of making an offer but its gone already!! I like that it still had the marshall voicing where as the ccv is its own thing

The 2 clips on the thread blew my mind. That amp just seems like it's gonna be insane in person.

Yeah, those clips were awesome. I actually went back to them to listen again but they were taken down and the amp was sold. I have an old jmp sitting here collecting dust and would love to get those same mods

I find this all pretty hilarious and sad. I feel bad for the people who got screwed. I'll be back in 2012, and it's going to be the same thing. I just have to wonder, when and if all of you guys finally get your amps...how many are going to sell them in 3 weeks for the next search of the holy grail tone you are never going to find

The CCV is definitely the flippers dream amp right now. It won't take long to saturate the market though and once they become available to the masses, they will flip at cost - 40% like everything else.

Steve

I doubt they will flip at cost less 40%. More like 75/80% of new cost like the other in demand high end desirable gear.

I hope so...this way I can get another CCV  If they do go that low, I may have to wait and get a used CCM as well

Me as well. Need to keep both my Martin Golub mods fresh.

You must have a big mantle... ;)

I had to have Martin do a second one, just in case he got hit by a bus or choked on a burrito or something. Didn't want the Aldrich mod to go away without be preserved. Will flip for $4500 later.

Not yet. I was told 2 months by David from the start. Didn't have to Western Union any money up front either.

All of this will be spelled out when we offer the amps for sale. Still finalizing the details.
